Im Which a moment of frustration gives rise to a new blog post!! Remarks on New Tradition, and why that alone won't do

Good morning, my good friend, reader of this present post! How are you, today? As for me, I am okay, one step at a time. Yesterday actually went quite well, even. So, at the end of the day, I don't have much to lament about! This is always a great and immense blessing! There are always some issue that weights heavy in my life, but that is a given. I do have somethings to say on the matter, more on that bellow, but no hurry! First tell me how is the weather? Here, it is very much spring weather, no more purely wintery, while also summer is announcing itself, much to my distaste. The months of winter are so pleasant, temperature wise! Almost makes living in the tropics acceptable, concerning termic sensation. The saving grace of Summer is Christmas, and the old summer holidays from school! As I am in college, I still get those! When I should work, it will likely not proceed the same, but the beautiful memories and the jolly decoration should probably keep my spirits high, anyway. Of ...

Album of the month: In which we stay at Tamara's place!

So the month of June is starting to come to a close! How fast it was, this month, so unlikely February and March, who were so slow. This can only mean one thing: we're reaching the middle of 2018, and as this year keeps moving, everything seems to start going faster and faster, BUT let's not rush things, shall we? We're still in June, and a lot of good things are to happen today and tomorrow, before we can give our warm welcome to July!
And how are you? How are things going? Hope everything is great!
Today I wanted to do something special: let's have an album of the month! I plan on reviewing and recommending an album I love every month! We're also gonna have the song of the week thing today, so two posts, yay! Okay, let's go to the album: STAYING AT TAMARA'S BY MY IDOL: GEORGE EZRA!

Before we begin, I wanted to say I love the art of the album so much! The cover is really beautiful, in my opinion
This is George btw, if you don't know who he is
So yes! We're staying at Tamara's place today, how exciting is that?! Four years after Geoff (yes, I call him Geoff) released his very successful first album "Wanted on Voyage" (I'll talk about this one on another post, I promise), he went ahead and released his new one!
Staying at Tamara's is a more upbeat and light hearted album in comparison to WOT, and as Geoff says, is an album about escaping the world around you, taking yourself away and daydreaming. We can see it very clearly from his first track:
  • Pretty Shining People, which starts with a somewhat dark tone, and then it brings us to happiness, by saying to hold on to the happy people who are dear to us, and to celebrate the good moments, and avoid stressful thoughts and overthinking, it also happens to be one of my favorites of the record;
And as you noticed, I'll be talking from track to track individually! And the next one is:
  • Don't Matter Now, the song of the June of my 2017, and the song that introduced me to Spotify, I definitely have a lot of history with this one! The first single of the album, released last year, when we had no idea about his project, is a song that tell us to let go of the stress and bad things, it don't matter now;
So we go ahead to a very inventive one in my opinion, the third track is:
  • Get Away is a very upbeat song with a really nice lyrics, that talks very clearly about daydreaming and a person with anxiety issues who for some moments saw his concerns get diluted and manage to escape a little;
The fourth one is one of Geoff's personal favorites!
  • Shotgun definitely has the most exotic and funny lyrics on the record! With lines like "Homegrown Aligator, see you later", definitely Geoff was inspired on this one! One of the most upbeats on this album, it's also one of the best ones in my opinion! Geoff's voice is at his best and the melody is so great!
Talking about upbeat, the next one is probably one of the most in Geoff's career in general so far:
  • Paradise was the second single of the record, released in January 2018, just after we discovered there was an album coming! It was received with much enthusiasm and to match that, the song is as alive as ever, one of the fastest George has recorded so far, also with a beautiful lyrics that talks about those moments you discover you're in love, and how you feel;
The next one, the track 6 of the album, is:
  • All My Love is a short but really nice song that also briefly talks about love, literally. Very sweet and with a nice melody, definitely one of my favorites;
So, let's proceed to the track 7:
  • Sugarcoat is the next one to talk about love and excitement, it represents the happiness of having someone you like a lot next to you on special moments. A really great upbeat song with the beautiful voice of Geoff;
Now, leaving the upbeat terrain a little, we have:
  • Hold my Girl, a contrast to the others, is a more slow and personal song, who talks about a more profound kind of love, and not necessarily in a happy moment. Even though is different, it really mix with the others and everything works really well! This one really grows on you;
But perhaps the most contrasting song of the entire record is this one:
  • Saviour, featuring the band "First Aid Kit" is a song that's really different from the others on the record, in many ways, from it's more "rock" vibe and melody, to its lyrics, and also because of the feat. But, inspite of that, is a fantastic one;
Returning to the slow songs of the record, we have:
  • Only a Human, that talks about not pushing yourself too hard or being too hard on yourself, it's probably the most sad on the album, melodically and lirically, but it doesn't lose hope and it's designed to lift you up, not the other way around;
And unfortunately we reach the end of this spetacular production:
  • The Beautiful Dream, which is lirically in my opinion one of the most beautiful ones, a great way to end a indeed dreamy record, definitely one of my favorites!
And after that the album is over. Definitely an amazing adventure, specially if you listen it from begining to end, something I love to do! The record is in my opinion one of the best released this year so far, and I couldn't recommend it enough! So here's the link to listen to it!

So, that's it for this post! If you're still here, thank you so much, you're the best! I really hope you liked this one! Always a pleasure to have you here! And following this one, just gonna tell you all the song of the week!
