In Which we celebrate Baroque and Good Trends
Good morning, dear friend, reader of this post! Happy Thursday! How are you, today? As for me, I got the flu the past few days, but with some rest and some cough meds, I am recovering. I am not sure if I'll be able to attend pilates today, but I am getting there. Even sick, I could not delay cleaning my ears yesterday, which I did, thank Goodness. I am ever so aprehensive and I take all the caution not to be overly euphoric, but I should mention that, in the political sphere, Trump's relatively landslide victory on America brought hope that maybe my country will see the same change in government coming the 2026 election... One should never put hopes on government, of course, but the fact is, they have the leverage and physical power to make life hell for us here, specially with taxation and terrible currency policy. So, one more sound administration is always ideal, and should be desired even for anarchocapitalists and fellow libertarians. I am relieved that Trump got such a strong legitimacy from the ballout. I want to see America renewed, strong, free. It is a country I love, and that has much in common, positively, with Brazil. A powerful and soundly governed America brings peace and joy to the free world, and influences other countries to follow their footsteps, instead of being lured to the evil grip of China. Needless to say, the challenges are extremely massive for Trump and his administration, we, conservatives, should never grow too comfortable, not even in such undeniable victory, and should go to work at the exact moment the results are in. Neither should we grow arrogant nor vengeful. We don't hurt our rivals when they're down, for example, though asserting our positions, and pointing to the disasters of the past few years, we should win with grace, and extend a friendship hand to whomever wants to take it. The fact they won't do the same is no excuse. I am very much inspired by Christ here as well. Even on more agnostic moments, the idea of humbleness and to offer the other face when facing insults and abuse, and to pray specially to our foes, that always deeply inspired me. I mean, if someone does not try to follow the footsteps of the king of the righteous, whom should we ever emulate? So, even with my Flu, I followed the results closely as they came out, and I am happy with what I've seen. There will be huge moments of toil, but for today, I can rest a bit, and treat my flu.
I really wanted to comment on his victory, because it is such an important moment, a victory even for us conservatarians that are not american. Apart from that, I genuinely am okay, the past few days, and I have been wanting to write a post here since the 4th. Happy to be here, then! I may draw at some point as well, maybe I will do a nice christmas inspired piece, that I'd be so happy with, I'd be willing to share. I did read yesterday, also, on the most magnificent period in history, the Baroque one. I do prefer Rococo, the style on the baroque spectrum, instead of the hard 17th century one, but still, any baroque for me is amazing. I think catholic art, and art as a whole, did reach its zenith during the Baroque period. Ballet and Opera made their debut during this richly culturally creative moment. It was an explosion of ideas to rival even the renaissance. Not only that, but such times would pave the way to the 18th century Enlightement and classical period in music. I do prefer the Baroque spectrum, but the awesome talent and innovation of Mozart and Haydn, and Beethoven, are not to be underrated, they can't be. The book paints such a vivid picture of all the drama and beauty of the baroque period, I had to take a pause from reading, I was just too inspired to keep on the activity at that moment. I hope I can write some more on this moment soon, but for now, I think it is time to wrap today's entry, I don't like when it gets too big.
When should I return, with more thoughts and ideas? Hopefully by the weekend, or next week. I wish that November may keep on building a positive momentum, that I should never, nonetheless, take for granted. I wish this to you as well. See you again next time, real soon, Farewell!!!
