In Which we Celebrate another beautiful July 4th! America Forever

Good morning, my friend, dear reader of this present post!! How happy I am that I can write today, and that I can feel like writing! The two are not exactly aligned, but today, is a special day in America, and the whole world should rejoice with this celebration! As such, thank God I can write, and that I am disposed to do so! How are you? I pray hope you are well? Let me know how did the week underwent! How is the weather? Hopefully not too hot? Where I live, it is winter, and another reason to be elated, winter is my favorite season, the colder the better, with the socks to protect the feet from cooling, and the thicker blankets due to the more chilling winds. I would say, perfect day for a July 4th, even if I am thousands of miles away from beloved America, the one of my dreams.

I don't know if I ever mentioned before, I think I did, but worth recalling: unfortunately I grew up in an overwhelming anti-american environment, and it was horrible on this aspect. I don't know what went right with my brain for me to always oppose such sentiment, and always embrace the United States, but so I did, from a tender age, as far as I can remember. Should the thoughts of a child be taken that seriously? On my end, those bore fruits, and if yestyear I loved America, today I am prone to worship this city upon a hill! It was really not easy, though. I am sure many more brazilians were not opposed to the beautiful America, but those were kept overwhelmed by a tide of deep rancid and resentful antiamerican miasma. My grandma from mom's side hated America (she still do), mom hated America (I prefer not to ask her today, or talk to her about politics at all on that matter, we are night and day opposed). My education, thar was imposed on me from middle school onwards was deeply antiamerican. You must imagine how horrible the country was placed intellectually during the early 2000's, it was the height of the leftist wave that swipe across the world since the end of the cold war. Since the communists could not take the globe by direct force, they dedicated themselves to undermibe what they could from the shadows. At surface, it was the end of history of that Fukuyama guy, but at the background, the scenario for the next place of conflict was entirely assembled.

I am just happy I stuck to my gut, from tender age, and I understand you must be in doubt if I was that reasonable as a kid. No, I was a kid, but at least one thing I turned out correct. And I resisted the indoctrination, and I read counterpoint from the first time I took the chance. And I was vindicated. And I am vindicated. God knows I am so far distant from even being a reasonable fellow, but I love America, and on that front, I am correct, and I say I am correct without shame, and knowing I am correct, and this is not for negotiation.

The tide in Brazil since 2012-2013 turned, and today, one can say out loud they like the United States. Today, communism has been defeated culturally, in Brazil, and it only exists on the universities and the legacy media, the eunuchs of the crumbling Qing Palace, so to speak. But imagine how relieved I was around 2014 when my grandparents of the grandpa side were already fastly moving towards a much more strong conservative instance. With time, my viewpoints did distance me from mom's side of the family, which is painful, I am more of a momma's boy so to speak. But they absolutelt brought me closer to dad's side of the family, though not exactly to my dad. It is what it is. Complexities of life. Still, the constant is I adore the United States!

I remember visiting this nation of wonders when I was very little, and I remember the glee of the people there, their smiles and their upwards attitude. Mind you, it was the heart of the 2008 financial crisis, a time of cultural shaking. Imagine how intoxicating such atmosphere of liberty should have been some years earlier, with even more confidence. Still, the impression onto me was quite strong. I hope I can return to America someday. There is a lot to see. Some must have decayed, I don't imagine Disney World being at its prime anymore, but also, this is the beauty of this immensely dynamic nation: when one center declines, another 20 emerge, and they don't have to loudly present themselves either. Just a grass well kept and a diner with a fatty good meal and cooling/heating systems, that is more than 90% of the world can offer.

This July 4th, I wanted as I did, just to present a more personal tribute to my land of dreams and ideals. We have been vindicated, and we will keep being vindicated for as long as the spirit of liberty and property should endure. The adversaries are so many, but Ayn Rand did say freedom only loses when retreats itself. I am shy, I tend to retreat, but with names that are on my side of the issue, fortunately I can rest more assured, and with their help, I can advance a bit more too.

This is what I wanted to say, today. Just a happy Birthday to America, and a tribute to the oddballs of Freedom out there, people from older generations such as Margarer Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. People from this generation, such as the brilliant James Lindsay and Rodrigo Constantino. Note many of those names are not even American by birth, but they, such as me, have took a love for the sunlight of freedom. Never to be dimmed. Hope for more 25 thousand more years. As long as Pangea does not return... Happy Anniversary, United States. The Republic, if you can keep it, hopefully to be maintained.
