In Which we Open March 2026 with Hope! A better future for Iran is at hand?

Hello, my dear reader of the present post, and my good friend! Happy month of March! And happy Tuesday! How are you, today? How have you been? As for me, I am quite okay. I slept through most of yesterday, felt sleepy after a doctor appointment with not so great news. Perhaps a reason I wanted that rest, as I did feel exhausted with the relatively bad news. It is not exactly too bad, neither unexpected, it is just weight gain above average for the months. After a good season of losing weight consistently and quite strongly, life resumes its course. I underwent the bariatric surgery and I thought that was it forever. For better or worse, that is not the case. My stomach is fortunately smaller, and it does require extra care, but mostly, apart from that, now I eat and feel no pain, snacks return to be a source of comfort and good texture. That is not exactly all for the best. The discomfort was an imposed brake, and without that, at times, I don't know exactly when to stop. Every inc...

In Which we talk about Madonna's life: American Tragedy

Hello everyone! How are you today and how are things going? As usual, I wish you the best and hope all is well with you! How is the weather where you are? I hope things are fine indeed, with not much sun, lots of rain, hopefully not a single thunder though, cause they make the internet go away, and we don't like that do we? Well, I'm happy, but what I decided to talk about today for whatever reason is not so happy.
Do you guys remember my Album of the Month thing? Well, I'm kinda bringing it back today, except this is gonna get salty and CONTROVERSIAL. I will expose my POLITICAL VIEWS and WILL NOT BE KIND towards Madonna, so let me do it on bright letters now:

THE CONTENT AHEAD IS CONTROVERSIAL AND MY TAKE ON THIS THING, THE OPINION IS MY OWN AND IM NOT IMPOSING IT ON YOU,
OKAY, DO WE HAVE THAT CLEAR, LET'S CONTINUE

Madonna's life, an American Tragedy.

Madonna was in for some good ole controversy going in "American Life", opening with one of the worst songs of all time, she was in for bashing America, and ending up bashing herself, exposing her as an out of touch, shallow celebrity who felt like they could lecture a whole nation on morality.
I don't dislike the song that gives title to the album, I really like it, I like the rhythm of it, the lyrics are hilarious and they do work if you see this as an artist self analyzing her own behavior, or just commenting on the cut throat life of Celebrities, something more explored in Hollywood, her second track. I don't go criticizing celebrities for their own lifestyle, everyone has to live as one desires, specially if they can, what makes me mad is their constant mentality of the "guilty rich", always apologizing for existing, and feeling like they need to donate to some fancy boutique charity to feel better about themselves for some reason. Worst of that, expecting everyone to feel as miserable as they do and desiring to impose a whole way of life in a broader group of people that could quite frankly live very well without them.
I like Madonna musically, and I don't mind her personal life, but I absolutely can't stand her politically, specially her speeches and her whole mentality! She is so stupid! Just the cheap move as cosplaying herself as Che Guevara, one of the most awful personalities of the 20th century, responsible for the death of thousands and a direct influence in Cuba's economical collapse, is enough to make eyes roll. On this album, that paved the way to the tragedy that Madame X is, she decides to take herself seriously as a thinker, and that's her downfall.
That being said, the album is quite good! I have been boycotting it for a while now because I felt I'd dislike it, but when I listened to it, surprise, the content is actually good! Hollywood is a very nice track, so is Love Profusion and Nobody Knows Me, in fact Nobody Knows me is one of the songs I listened to the most on my year of 2019. I can relate to her lyrics, specially if I ignore the controversies and her awful ideology, taking it as an artist feeling betrayed by her own lifestyle, surrounded by fake shallow people, it's quite relatable for me, as my high school was hell. I think in the end this album is supposed to be about herself, and was wrongly marketed as being an anti-America statement. I do heard she decided to sing "Imagine" (a song that I can't stand) on the tour, well that's the portrait of the whole thing, like I said before, when she stops having fun and wants to be edgy and serious, she fails and fails hard. I am condemned on hating to like this whole album, as I myself hate to love Madonna, what can I say, her songs are really cool, the beats are there on her melodies, the lyrics are direct and nice, but anyway, I think only a more leftist audience of fans will truly enjoy the content of this piece, as for me, who do criticize, it's true, but in the end love America, I have to stay away from its absurd content, or attemptive to be one.
If you'd like to listen to this piece by yourself, the links go as it goes:

And that concludes my rant, I could talk more but this post is getting long, I'm glad I'm only a small blogger that won't get much hate because my dear readers are awesome, right guys? Well, anyway, this whole piece is dated by now, being composed on the track of 2001-2003, most of its juicy meaning was lost, being a portrait of its time for leftists, but not meaning much anymore for anyone else, unless you could go on precisely why she decided to do this whole composition when the nation and the world were mourning 9/11. ANYWAY, like I said, I'm done for now. Love you guys, see you next time!
