Highlighted Quotes That Caught my Attention At The Moment

“The first fact about the celebration of birthdays is that it is a good way of affirming defiantly, and even flamboyantly, that it is a good thing to be alive.” – G.K. Chesterton.

In Which we have a September alongside Crisis, Ballet, and Christmas Expectation

Happy Wednesday, my good friend, dear reader of this post! How are you? As for me, I am okay... as okay as I could be, given how extremely turbulent the month of September has been, specially mentally. I have had days of much melancholy and boredom is corroding my will to live. As an example with what I have to deal with, conflicts with my brother become more rispid, as the distance between us mount further. Gaming brings no joy most of the time. I do feel like in a dead end. Energy levels are bellow 0, I am happy if I can get out of bed, at all. Fortunately, today was above average, so I am using this to write a post on the blog, I haven't had the chance to do it in a while. It was a month of low productivity, and given how depressed I've become, I am surprised I managed to do anything at all. How I miss dear Johannes, I wish we could chat at some point, he is usually absent, and we do not have the chance to chat most of the time. Fortunately, today was relatively above averag

In Which we close down August ranting about Anno

August, I'd say, was a pleasant month, this in spite of the exercising moments, never good, and apart from the celebration of my birthday on August 11th that didn't go as well, apart from those bad things, it was a month of recovery from all the stress of July and of enjoying my new computer, of returning to Anno and seeing the release of Humankind! And again on Anno, as the month isn't over until the midnight time of today, there is a new DLC coming for this amazing game in just a couple hours, wrapping up the birthday month in a very nice way! I saw Itroo playing the early access this weekend and I must say I am both excited, which is to be expected, but also quite intimidated by the size of it all! It will be a massive expansion, the biggest since Land of Lions, that I was expecting so much in the second half of 2020! It is to be discussed if this one will be bigger than LoL, BUT well, it won't add a new session, but will bring a ton of new flavor to the endgame, making your cities in the Old World truly the stuff of the wildest dreams of all, from the new world Obrera to the Investor, artisans will look up and will rush to sell their new products on the shopping arcades, making the art of furninture and comfort to the next level. I was going to say that it bothers me that they have such a bad view on Investors, the Dev team, and that spills a lot into the game as it goes, even if many things are caricatured in this piece, being one of its main features. We have the snowflake artisans, the annoying raging workers, the science obsessed engineers, the obreras and its unhealthy focus on defeating La Corona, the investors and its cafe society, very much money oriented... And it goes on. Its anti-capitalistic bias of the game, that much bothers me, is wide open when it comes to Donny, the new character in the game, the one I say is the visionary behind the huge cathedrals of living, behind the new products that dramatically increased human standard of living! All the progress of the late 19th and early 20th century, presented in such a cynical and unpleasant way. It saddens me that the West is commiting suicide like that. The Whole thing, as usual, in Anno 1800, could've been done in such a more relatable, better way! Why Donny needs to be so unkind towards one of its associates, Theodora? Why the greasy little workers need to be portrayed in such a sympathetic way? Opening up my thoughts, why the campaign in Anno 1800 is so... bad? Why the Land of Lions arc is so corny in its ending? I'm not saying that there isn't some hidden gems, but the writing is bad and biased, indoctrinating for the impressionable teens and the stupid seniors that share their cynicism towards the market society. Well, this was supposed to be me wrapping up August, making a balance of it, ended up being me just whining about Anno Dev's awful socialist tendencies in the background, pulling the strings. It is important you know, culture, as it slowly shapes a new horizon, and the horizon being shaped today may look nice for some in the distance, but looking at it closer, we can see that is one that leads to all kind of disgrace. Well, this is what I have to say. And in the end it needs to be said, as I don't think not a single other being will point out to those flaws. This is where I end the post, and where I'll say I hope to come back real soon with a post to truly wrap up August and say hello to September. With that, I wish you the best, reader of this post, visitor in my divagation store of thoughts. I see you real soon!
