In Which we return to SimCity 2013, victim of blind spots...

Good afternoon, my friend, reader of this post! Happy Tuesday, how are you? How have the first week of 2025 treated you? An auspicious start, so I hope! As for me, I am okay... at moments, because I have been trying some different things on my games and computer, I feel in the dark, walking in circles with no purporse and so I become frustrated. The hobby has also caused me to be less mentally available for drawing or writing, at least over the past few days, which is also a source for dismay. In retrospect, though, it's not all bad. I think my first drawing of 2025, the cherry tree, tradition since 2022, looked quite charming, and I trust I will do some more at some point real soon, there is no reason for any stress I'd say, even if I stress all the same. The year caused me to become surprised with its walking, because on a chain of events that started with SimCity 4, released 2003, I ended up returning to the infamous title SimCity 2013, famous for ending SimCity as a franchi...

In Which I say Happy 27th of December, 3rd day of Christmas

And the last Tuesday of 2022! Yes, it is the 3rd day of Christmas indeed, on a streak that goes till 6th of January, where we'll have the day to say bye to the holiday decorations at the moment, wrapping close the pages of the season of 2022, and so we wait for the ones of 2023! But anyway...

Hello everyone, and good morning! I wish you the best! I couldn't write on the blog this Christmas, alas, as I decided to take the time to both rest a lot and play Europa Universalis 4. You guys know what happen when I play EU4, It is very easy to get sidetracked by that massive game! I also didn't think I had much to say either, even if I could've improvised some uplifting words for my favorite season, the one in which we celebrate St. Nicholas and the birth of Christ. I could, but I don't know, I wasn't feeling inspired, was actually more sleepy than anything. I have been surprised by some good posts that came out of periods of lack of inspiration, that is true, but anyway, the days passed, food was consumed, jolliness and good will were shared, and here I am again, to just chat about whatever with my peeps of the divagation store! I will have a dentist appointment at the end of the afternoon, to do some procedure that I believe will be another root canal. Then, after that, I will be good to go looking for people to fix my tooth. I also finished a drawing today, and maybe I will work on another one, though you guys know how it goes, even more than writing, drawing is an activity that requires a certain mood, otherwise I will produce something that I won't approve and will get massively discouraged.

Speaking of Holidays, have I told you how I spent my own? I went to my grandma's house from Thursday to Sunday the 25th, and I had a nice time there, proper for the season indeed! The heat has been absolutely awful, it has been the norm to be covered in sweat and all miserable, but I still cherish the wonderful Christmas moments! I dream of a colder weather and during the proper time to be, but Christmas is to be celebrated in every weather I say, with a nice pine tree - artificial or not - and a lot of christmas bread. Back home I am now, with my new computer keyboard and my brush pens, my hat and my sunglasses.

Here's a picture of the nice season of 2018, it was pleasant, and one where I got The Sims 4, and was enjoying the game even if I was only playing the Vanilla version of it. I only got my first piece of DLC between March or May of 2019, but that is another story. I haven't seen Chilly Billy the penguin in a while, I wonder if he's okay. Maybe he is at the Christmas tree filled with stuffies of this season, but I haven't seen it, or paid attention to it, alas. I told you guys about my season, that fortunately, thank you God, was calm and peaceful. I'd love to hear about yours, too... how was it? Cold? Hot? My friends up north struggled with the frozen weather, I struggled with the heat...  I probably mentioned the excellent book by Alex Epstein Fossil Future before on this humble vessel of my thoughts. There, he argues that it is actually not that bad of a thing the planet hypothetically moving towards a more carbon-rich atmosphere (though, as he pointed out, it is not the big picture) as a hotter planet on the right places (it would get a bit more hot on the northern hemisphere at the evenings, though I'd say not really that thing that many say it would be) could reduce the death of frostbite and so on, more people die and struggle with the cold than they do with the heat. I will say, though, the idea of a more tropical planet does not please me much, as I hate the hotter weather, though the merits of such progression are up to debate, and the benefits of coal and oil outweight the hypothetical side effects. Anyway, I just mentioned this because people do struggle with the heat, too, though less die of it, that weather can make many more much more miserable in many ways. He did mentioned the essential micro weather control that cheap reliable energy can offer. Many issues we face on the tropics is because power is not cheap enough, due to many awful political regulations and so on, nothing good can EVER come from the state. If we had access to cheaper energy, the poor of the south wouldn't struggle as much, they'd be able to afford better fans and AC units and also afford the bills, and so would the middle class and so on, everyone would be better off, but the ecoterrorists and the socialists, but well, I divagate.

Well, I wasn't going to mention Mr. Epstein's book, but as I did, I wrote something I'm proud of, just exposing a bit of a debate I believe is crucial, on a frame that is not as popular, but also that I believe is the correct one. Anyway, thank you for reading, dear friend, reader of this post! Merry Christmas once again, and I see you again real real real soon for more thoughts! I will probably write one wrapping up December and also 2022, if I can return sooner than that, though, I will, it only depends on the mood I'm in, either way, thank you, and I see you again soon!
