Quote of the moment Vol.2

“Any one thinking of the Holy Child as born in December would mean by it exactly what we mean by it; that Christ is not merely a summer sun of the prosperous but a winter fire for the unfortunate.” - G. K. Chesterton, The Streets of the City, The New Jerusalem

Highlighted Quotes That Caught my Attention At The Moment

In Which November 2025 ends, another November of Creative block

Good morning, my friend, reader of this post! Happy Sunday! How are you, today? Hope you have been in a good moment? Those are always important to aknowledge, and never to be taken for granted. I know that well, as this early morning, I tried to write on the post, only to feel dread, because of a strong creative block I have been facing. Perhaps was just hunger, at least in this occasion, as now that I had my breakfast, some eggs with tomato sauce, I feel much much better. How are you, in the approach of the height of the season? I am so happy and I am eager, anxious even, to celebrate the beautiful Christmas time as I can. There is the relief of having survived another ybbear, or at least to have reached its most wonderful days. In any case, how is your fall season going? Or are you from a normal place that dows not have such bizarre undertaking? The weather for me has been following a simple pattern for now: cold nights and super heat during the mornings. I will always root for the c...

In Which I give some words of Tribute to Lady Thatcher, on the 11th anniversary of her passing, and also talk on Sims 3

Hello dear friend, reader of this post! Happy new Monday, and I wish you an excellent new week of April. How was your weekend? As for me, the weekend was... okay, I suppose. Some stress Saturday night, making me have to take the sleeping pill for resting properly. It worked like a charm: I only woke up Sunday afternoon! Today, I woke up tired and unwilling to do anything, so I just had my morning coffee unaccompanied by any game, alas. I did open Sims 3, but only to see which world I plan on start a new save. I also got new items for Sims 3, so that is fun. I had a bit of a headache with the launcher, but it was fixed afterwards, just needed to clean some clutter in the explorer. As I hope I can recover from this indisposition, I pray I can find some desire to draw. As I mentioned, I have plans of restarting my Sims 3 progress, though I have not deleted my current/previous save yet. I also pray I can have the opportunity to chat with some dear friend, today, but all in due time.

Yesterday I found out that it has been 11 years since the great Margaret Thatcher passed away. With that, I want to say some words of tribute:

Ah... I still remember when I first received the news, I shed tears, many of them. I have just watched the movie Iron Lady, and was enamored of this strong lady that always inspired me since. What a blow, I barely get to know her, and she dies... such is life. Oh, if I dare to aay: my dear Lady Thatcher, how the world misses you, even if many do not admit. How I miss you, how I am hopeless because we won't see a woman like you ever again. You, that brought Britain back to life, hunted away the winds of lethargy and socialism, and was the last Hurrah for the agonizing empire, poorly transplanted into a commonwealth. You, that invited british folk to learn again of free enterprise, that made Liberalism the world of the day once more! That ideal, both darlingly new and cozily old fashioned. You that had the gall to say Victorian Values built this great world of Britain, when so many turned away on them, attracted by the easy lies of the welfare state, gateway to socialism, another term to describe hell. Ah, prime minister, for 11 beautiful years you lead the country that for a while had some shine, first glimmers in almost 40 years of decline. You were not unkind to the outcast, and beautifully led the way for us that both are conservative and idiossincratic, that mixture that is also so british. You that tirelessly wanted freedom and better life conditions to your folk, and for the oppressed of Eastern Europe. You that believed in a better way for Polish folk, for the Hungarians, for the Russians. That listened to the dissidents and gave voice to them. Britain may be once again in jeopardy, but for those 11 years and more, you transformed the island, bringing forth the digital age, the cable channels revolution of the 90's, the internet and the new financial market. Now you rest, after being betrayed by your own, after surviving loneliness, after the passing of Dennis, your husband, and dementia, that brought to an end the life of your best friend, mr. President Reagan. Life points towards entropy, only a few have dared to reverse decline, you were one of them. The world is a better place because of you and what you did. Dear Margaret, thank you.

And with this small speech, a tribute to the prime minister, a sincere praisal from your brazilian fan, I close this post of the day. Guys, I am sorry I don't post more than I do. I wish I was inspired and ready to go every day, but alas... it is hard to keep the pace, and my mind sometimes is someplace else. But don't worry, I pray and hope the blog won't go anywhere! Even if I write less at moments, I am still here, and hope to keep being here for many bits. I should return to this blog publication sometime this week, I hope before Friday. I may even have a theme for the next post, as I wrote a poem to dear Johannes and his beloved girlfriend. But for today, I leave you all with this tribute to lady Thatcher. Until then, I wish you the best, dear friend! See you again real soon!
