In Which Winter goes away too soon, and the routine once again, for my joy

Why hello there, sir friend, good morning and happy new week! How was your previous one, and how are you today, on this week that begins? As for me, I am okay, I'd say... after a bit of a positively happy birthday week, even with any sorrow that may have afflicted me, ah, it is what it is, just satisfied in retrospect with the birthday moments! It was low key, but I had a good piece of cheesecake! How is the weather in your side of things? Here, it has been heating up, as if spring arrived earlier. Overall, even with a drier winter, the subtle heat was perceived, as the sweater days are more scarce, and the socks start to spend more time in their drawer. The slippers change, the cushioned one is slowly being lesser used, why the others are more enjoyed, though soon it will be uncomfortable for those as well, and the typical rubber open shoes in japanese fashion will be in full swing again. Ordinary changes, but enough to make me want to write about them, and even to start a new pos...

In Which I praise the Lazy and the pursuit of comfort

Good evening, my friend! Happy Tuesday, a new week! How are you? Everything okay with you the past few days? As for me, I am okay, I'd say, the week went by quite fast... the weekend as well. One step at a time one should say, definitely what I am always repeating. And as such, I did not write here as much the past few days, alas. I do have a healthy amount of hobbies and not nearly enough energy to keep up with them. So, I draw, I try to read as much as possible, with little success, given I only read today in the past week or so, I hate this, but I also cannot keep focus on the best of times. My mind is always spinning fast, and I yearn to chat with dear friend. Fortunately, each day is a new one, and maybe I will read some more as it goes. Fortunately I have been quite keen on the audiobooks! Those are a saving grace, I love them, as they allow me to learn and be entertained while doing something like washing the dishes! I also find quite joyful to play my games while I listen to them. It is like knitting while watching the tv... something of the sort.

I decided to move and uninstall Victoria 3 today, as it was occupying space on my SSD, I've seen most mods I'd like to see for now, the new expansion season have not started and won't do till June. Also, the performance of the game with tge mods I have has been abysmal. Unfortunately my laptop cannot run it as well, and I do love the mods I subscribe to. I ran out of patience and I do desire to engage in some other game. Haven't been playing much Civ as well, the mod Vox Populi lost me a bit. There is the good news that one game has been released, Pax Augusta, a city builder set in ancient Rome. Though the game is (very) rough around the edges so far, causing me to postpone my time in it, while I wait for a patch update, I find the whole project to be extremely promising and commendable! I pray and hope the dev can keep up the amazing work! There are some other roman city builders around, such as the Citadelum one, but Citadelum have not captured me yet. More good news: the other game I have been following the development, Memoriapolis, is about to be fully released! I just have to wait an extra day, and hopefully, with no delay if it can be avoided, I will be able to experiment more on this intriguing city builder. Anno 1800 is back to my radar, they are releasing an unofficial expansion for the game, in a form of mod, that adds the much requested Asian region to it. I look forward to trying it out. Apart from that, just taking my time with most games. Rekindling myself with Sims 3 for example, as I try more mods in it, and take my time.

Friends, I do apologize for any error of typing on the blog. For the past seasons I have been writing through my phone, because I prefer the mobility, and the convenience of writing while laying down in my bed. On the computer it is far less painful on my fingers, but I grow sore from sitting down, for reasons I am not fully aware of. And when I mention it to people, they just tell me to exercise, while I do hold the growing suspicion there is far more to it. And to make things worse, there are the sight issues. God forbid, no, I am not impaired, but at times my vision lose focus, goes blur, and it is so annoying to the point I have to raise the brightness of the device. Nothing is really fullproof, is it? Always a trade off I suppose. And this freaking touch keyboard can be a nightmare. But, I mean, I do appreciate being horizontal if I can help it.

And speaking of which, before I wrap this post up, I had this ingenious idea, it goes to show never to underestimate the laziness in all of us, or rather the fact our pursuit of comfort and convenience is never to be neglected, ideally, for that is the mother of invention! Again, another grudge I have with stoicism. If one would listen to their pleas of simplicity too often, dear God, I am sure one would never have domesticated fire, instead one would be content in eating raw meat if it doesn't kill. Who are the true lazy in the end, I ask before someone points out how absurd this line of thinking is, but do tell, I think more was achieved by lazy people with drive to find better ways to make stuff, to make their time of rest more available, than that of the kind that just tells one to suck it up.

Follow up added after finishing the post: realized I never mentioned what the invention was. It is just me using the portable desk table I mentioned before as an improvised bedside table! A place to put books, some step earphones, my glasses when I go to sleep. I had this idea and it worked like a charm! So, yea, for all the lazies out there: do not neglect your inner desire for comfort. Sometimes it can lead to good things.

In any case, I am happy that I can write today! Not always productivity aligns with drive and inspiration. Brahms did mention that inspiration without craft is a wind that goes nowhere, but same is craft with no inspiration. So it goes. As always, never to worry, I should be back with more thoughts and ideas and my life journey soon, hopefully before the weekend. To whomever decides my words are worth reading, thank you! How grateful I am yo have you here, even if just for a post. I wish you the best, and of course, see you again real soon!

Extra note: I humbly ask forgiveness to you for any typo, specially today. My vision is so blurred I can hardly see the words in front of me, and my fingers struggle to hit the right notes in this diminute keyboard.
