In Which Winter goes away too soon, and the routine once again, for my joy

Why hello there, sir friend, good morning and happy new week! How was your previous one, and how are you today, on this week that begins? As for me, I am okay, I'd say... after a bit of a positively happy birthday week, even with any sorrow that may have afflicted me, ah, it is what it is, just satisfied in retrospect with the birthday moments! It was low key, but I had a good piece of cheesecake! How is the weather in your side of things? Here, it has been heating up, as if spring arrived earlier. Overall, even with a drier winter, the subtle heat was perceived, as the sweater days are more scarce, and the socks start to spend more time in their drawer. The slippers change, the cushioned one is slowly being lesser used, why the others are more enjoyed, though soon it will be uncomfortable for those as well, and the typical rubber open shoes in japanese fashion will be in full swing again. Ordinary changes, but enough to make me want to write about them, and even to start a new pos...

In Which Birthday comes even closer! Hobbies and chores, and the new Ballroom

Good morning, my friend, reader of this post! How are you, today? How have you been on this passing week of August? Hope the weather has been endurable, for you that is afflicted by summer, on the northern hemisphere? As for me, it is still my turn to have a bit of freshness. Weather is still pleasant, it hasn't rained much this winter, but the temperature is fine, I can have as much freedom as I can to dress up! I have been using old clothes that fit me again, and of course the beloved sweaters, and the beloved socks too! It makes me immensely happy, to be observing of my own standards, and be appropriate while having my own flair. It motivates me to keep going, having rediscovered my old wardrobe! I have another good development to share as well! You will be happy to hear I finally finished the book I have been reading for close to four months, now! The Trivium, by sister Miriam Joseph, even if it is around 280 pages long, is quite dense and can be dry. Not particularly unpleasant to read, neither is badly done, just a very slow read, that I did mention, took me close to four months to complete. I suppose it is what it is, concerning the time. As for the satisfaction, it is priceless! And I cannot wait to start my next read. The issue is not the lack of options, but the excess of them, causing major decision paralysis at moments.

Apart from this personal achievement, I haven't drawn much, alas. It is the trade off one makes when you move decidedly towards the hobby for pleasure direction, rather than the hobby for productivity. Usually those end up becoming chores, jobs, boxes on a list, to be crossed over when done, so fhe day can be complete. Many times, I see it that way, even if I try to avoid that approach. There are moments where such position help, but those are not universal, I prefer a much more organic approach to my day if I can help it. I do hope I can work on a nice one pretty soon, perhaps a portrait to a friend, I will take a look. I must remain mindful of my most dear Patron on the Patreon platform, Mr. Ruben Hanssen of the Aesthetic City! He is most kind and superb, and when I so not feel like drawing, I imagine his contribution, that keeps me going.

It is a bit hard to fathom that my birthday will already present itself nexf week! Dang! I should think of any way to make the next week a beautiful one, though I am not holding my breath, given the funds are scarce, there is little to do alas. In any case, I desire not to be one of the grumpy people that woe this event because they are growing older, maybe their skin will show more age... Believe me, I also fear aging, it is terrifying. But, that being said, I think Chesterton was the one who said one should indeed celebrate birthdays, it is an act of expressing boldly and clearly: it is good to be alive, and it is. Thank you God, and my parents, for such gift!

As we approach the end of today's entry, I did hear they are hiring an architect of the new traditional movement to build the new ballroom on the White House. What a joy! I know, I do not subscribe with all points and everyone in this vast amorphic movement, that nonetheless wants to recover sanity on buildings and projects, and wants to cast away the nihilism ever so totalitarian and far reaching that is brutalism, and the bad post modern tendencies, and whatever is left of the evils of Le Corbusier, Bauhaus modernism. Not anymore. That is a point of agreement I have with my fellow aristotelians. Now, we may differ on which style to bring forth, I dream of a neo-rococo revival, as to cast a bit aside, not completely but just for the sake of variety, the new classical approach that has been trending more strongly. There are many points of attrict, I did write on this topic before, from the populist distaste many have for cars and roads, I do not share entirely of the sentiment, though the other extreme, that of the futuristic autobahn and zoned cities is my arch nemesis. In short, I am against 15 minute cities, but I am also strongly and decidedly against Brasilia. Ir is hard, even for myself, a conservatarian, to fully grasp the changes, if any, definitely seems like there are some, taking place with Mr. Trump's bold retake of the control of the free world, or at least giving a bit more chance to those on the right. It is hard because things are moving fast and faster, and more fast after that. And I mentioned many of the rising "stars" on the right share beliefs with the socialists, that I abhor, but they are socialists of a different kind, jacobins but on the other extreme, if there is any. I avoid the usage of the term extreme, for example, but I must recognize the extreme left is not alone, not anymore, on the balance of governments. One with my beliefs and my circumstances have only to write as a way of survival, not monetary, but in the metaphysical level. That all being said, I am nobody, but I approve and I smile of the ballroom initiative by Trump. It is a long rerm project, I am sure the presidential complex residence will benefit from it. One good thing. It should be applauded.

Anyway, I did write a lot! I don't want to bore you with more of my stuff. There are some things I will have to leave off this post, due to the leght, but thaf I hope to bring forth in another one entry, if they are still relevant. In any case, thank you my friend for being here, I wish you the best, make sure to avoid drinking too much coffee. See you again real soon, before my birthday, even! Bye Bye for now
