In Which the fog of the terrain is present and the birds scream confusely

Good morning, dear friend, reader of the present post! How are you today, sir and madame? How is the weather? Here, glorious winter, the one of 2026, makes itself known more and more and more, and I urge it to come faster and to FREEZE the land. Oh eternal bliss of the cold winds and the heavy rains, how I love it, so much! And I am okay... I think. Just a bit 6 out of 10 these days, as a rough estimate. At times, 5 out of 10, at times almost a 7. But under the weather nonetheless. I always feel frustrated when I cannot write, or draw, and yet because this is a hobby, it would not be fair to treat it as my main trade. I went on this direction before and it is not a profitable approach. God knows what I will do for a living, but likely it won't be hard drawing or hard writing, not as a main avenue. After some days of writer's block, I did have some thoughts that I wanted to share AND that I know how. Finally a positive alignment on that field! It promises to be a long post, so if I had to summarize it, I could say that Platonism is a dead end, and the idealists in the crafts will hit that wall and will be much worse for it.

The advancement on the field of Advance Computing are continuing indeed. It will hit a wall, as it should, but it still goes, even if they awe less than before. Wonders thought unlikely some months ago now are a part of daily basis, it seems. Many even complain and some revolt against such technology.

I tend to go from one interpretation to the other: either I am quite satisfied with Advance Computing and LLM technology, also known as Artificial Intelligence, or I think it is a sophisticated machine of smoke and mirrors. Makes me fatigued, It is quite frustrating to not know for sure what I am dealing with. The terrain is a fog, and many scream stupid things, on all perspectives there is idiotic takes. I will not feel sensible to the "environmental concerns" of AI, I have seen the kind that talk on those terms, and if they can have a reason to cry, let them have it, it is another one of thousand, I want them gone. Anyone on the spectrum of throwing paint in a nice sculpture to make a point, let them go forever and never to come back, ever. I can't express how much I detest environmentalism. That is one side of many, though. There are many dangerous loonies on the other spectrum as well, they talk of the "energy cost" of raising a "human" as if you could compare one thing to the other, and hint at a future of "wonders and miracles" where "no one has to work" and "we will dwell with the machines". No, that crap I don't buy either, another group Id gladly see gone from the debate, if any. Is there anything of tangible value, or is it just noise? One noise of so many, put on the mainstream by social media screams. And I also like Social Media, I don't think it is a negative. Another thing that is hard to evaluate if it's useful or not, or if this question is the correct one.

I did say I detest the environmentalists, and though that is so, there is the point of the immense costs of the technology, and on those terms I find it less unreasonable to listen. Is there such demand for a million dollars for a computer that does mediocre work where there is many more economic, easy and more healthy ways of attending such result? There is that messianism again, this podcaster said that AI could as well be "The second coming of Christ". No one is serious anymore. I am tired of those extremes, really. I like to draw as a hobby, it is a healthy undertaking, I feel. And I have gone through the "what is the point" crisis already. There are many good points, more than points against. And I am positive Artificial Intelligence will not replace the crafts, could as well make it even more valuable. It is that thing of when something offers you a shortcut, knowing your way on the scenic route helps you know if you want it or not.

This is what I have to share today, this post ended up being much bigger than I was anticipating, and I wrote it on my computer, even, how awesome is that??? I usually do it on my phone, these days. It is so good to touch a keyboard instead of tapping a screen, though! It seems analogical is more soothing than purely digital, I think that may not be denied. Just happy I could do anything, really. This messy month was not really that productive. But anyway, I appreciate you for reading and being here, thank you! I should be back at some point real soon, maybe by the weekend, though not sure. Until then, cheers dear friend, never say die! Keep up the good work! Wish you the best! Farewell but just for now.
