In Which the Divagation Store reaches the 900 posts Milestone! Reflection on Why...

Good morning, my friend, dear reader of this present post! How are you today, this new week? It should be the last one for February, quite soothing that it will end on a Sunday as well, given it started on a Sunday, too! As for me, I did sleep quite a bit yesterday, but I cannot complain of not being a productive day, given I finished reading the biography of Madame de Pompadour, written by Nancy Mitford. Quite a good one, and in fact, I would say is a great one! What a remarkable lady she was, the great patronesse of Rococo, though she sensed a move in France towards a more neoclassical direction, and overall set the sails on the direction of the style of the next era, the one called Louis XVI style, though in truth it was the queen Marie Antoinette who truly set the tone. I like this topic, and I love her majesty. Though the late rococo she preferred was hinted with an antique tint, it was not the more sober neoclassical of the 1790's and the Napoleonic era. She brought flowers a...

In which the author starts a new blog!

Hello everyone! What a beautiful day this Friday! Is sunny and hot! Of course, I'd have preferred a little more cloudy and fresh, but I do like blue skies, so let the sun shine strong like a super trouper! I am really glad to be here starting this new adventure and sharing it all with you, the reader of this post, and potentially, if you like, not only this post, but also this blog! Without further due, I'm honored to say...

WELCOME TO THE DIVAGATION STORE

I'm absolutely flattered to have you here and I hope you enjoy your stay in this exotic place! Now, before we begin, I'd like to explain who am I, why I chose this name, how is this going to work, I want to share it all with you, dear reader! One post at a time, because I don't want to have posts who are too big to read. Of course, they can get big - I LOVE TO TALK - but ideally, I'd rather have them on a more compact size. So, for this first post, I want to tell you all why we are in the divagation store in the first place!

WHY THE DIVAGATION STORE?

As the years go by, you get to know yourself, this is something that comes naturally and a lot of times out of nowhere! You get to know who you are, what you like, what you dislike, and so on! As for me, a thing I came to realize about myself is that I love stores, specially the furninture, decoration, gadgets ones! The bigger, the better! They're one of my happy places! I love to explore them, discover new products, imagine all the possibilities, so many dreams, so many beautiful and nice stuff! They delight my eyes and make me daydream, bringing me to a pleasant journey, and in the end I feel like I'm in a parallel universe! So many positive energy and happiness! In places like this, with all the enviroment, I think better about myself, my life and everything in it! I'm a person who tends to have monologues, divagations with myself, I tend to have my head in the clouds, and dreamy places like these ones offer me a fertile place to my thoughts to grow and prosper!
This is the reason I chose the name of the blog to be "The divagation store"! I want this place to feel like it for me, a place full of nice, beautiful stuff, where I can have my divagations and share it with people! I hope you all may perhaps like my content, I'm just full of joy to be here!
And this is the end of my first post! I'm thrilled to have you here still reading this! I hope to see you again next time!
