In Which I think of the book project and brainstorm briefly on it!

Hello, my friend, reader of this present post! I am happy to see you once again. It is great to be here. How are you? Hopefully the week went fine? As for me, I am okay, I'd say. The birthday week, so to speak, was relatively uneventful, except for some bursts of anxiety at the evening of day 12, precisely at the day of celebration. Family time can be a challenge...  I often think if my book idea would go anywhere... I wanted to write my thoughts on urban planning and architecture, and yet I imagine any path I take, will likely be faced wirh cruel scrutiny, and the only variable will be what will the lane they will pick, if any. Firstly, I did read the great book by Mrs. Jacobs on the death and life of great American cities, and wanted to emulate it. I thought on a research, then I thought it would be better to write from my life experience instead.. perhaps I should do a life experience writing, with researches if proven necessary? The fact is I am gloomy about brazilian cities an...

Sketch of the week! In which we talk about the cat in glasses!

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday, almost Thursday, to you all!! Yes, the post of today is coming a bit late, sorry guys, but I just had The Voice and I had to rest a little after college, today was a day filled with adventures!!! I had The Voice, for starters, I went to the otolaryngologist to take care of my ears, I can listen way better now, so I'm so happy! Or maybe not too happy, every sound for me now sounds too loud, how loud this world is! I think I prefer enjoying stuff in a low volume in the end, not a big fan of noises... anyway, but in the end I'm truly happy, also because it was my first doctor appointment ever I made by myself and took care 100% by myself, this is so amazing! I feel acomplished! And I think this came at the right time. At college, today was a mess, since I had a project to finish with my workmate, and we finished it minutes before the final deadline was reached! Those mad college years, right? I also talked to my nice and wonderful friends, that I like so much. It was a good day, and I need to enjoy every little moment of it.
And how are you today? How are things going? As always I do wish you well, and hope everything is going fine for you, my dear reader of this post!
Today is Wednesday, which means it's Sketch of the week day, and I wanted to share one very odd I did this weekend!!! Let's meet my imaginary cat: Mr. Adelaide!

Mr. Adelaide is a cool cat with a crazy personality, and he has some pretty nice glasses and an awesome top hat! He's my cat in hat!  I love cats guys, this one goes to me, and also to my friends who likes cats like me! His name is inspired in one of the characters of the show Over The Garden Wall, one of the best shows I've watched in my whole life, and that I will write a post about it soon, not only one, but many, mark my words, this show has come to stay for me! I just wanted to try something different this weekend, and with cats, cause I love them, and that's how Mr. Adelaide was born! Of course, a cat in glasses and hats is not an original idea, but this is MY CAT and it belongs to MY WORLD, I colored it on a style I feel more comfortable on, that can count as something right?
Also, I made a similar drawing to this one back in 2014, and this sketch was a massive adventure for me. I actually dreamt of this sketch back then, and decided to challenge myself to do it, pushing my drawing skills over the boderline, I considered it one of my best sketches for years, my first cat in glasses, here he is:

This is pretty much a portrait of my late 2014, with Piet Mondrian, the strong colors, the messy background and the chaotic drawing, melting into the page, since I had no idea of what I was doing, I just went for it, page after page on the floor, a whole day doing what today take me some hours, like coloring and even doing some lines. I'm not the best drawer, and I'll never be, I do it because I came to realize I love doing it, but seeing this, even though I still love this drawing and still consider to be one of my favorites, I can see how far I've come, and what's ahead of me, in my life. This cat tells a tale of the Daniel of 2014, as the cat of 2018 tells the tale of me now. It's not their mission in life, they're their own individuals, but by choice they ended up doing it.
Or maybe I'm crazy for writing this, maybe I'm too hungry, maybe I'm just tired, who knows, just sharing my thoughts with you guys, on this post that's getting way too big!
Those really special cats, for me, are the ones I have for today, to show to you, my dear reader, who's the best and aknowledges it! Thank you so much for being here, and I'll see you soon!!!!!! Bye!
PS: A friend of mine told me the cat in hat reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. I love Alice, as you guys know, and the Chesire Cat, so yes, thank you friend, you made my day!
