Quote of the moment Vol.2

“Any one thinking of the Holy Child as born in December would mean by it exactly what we mean by it; that Christ is not merely a summer sun of the prosperous but a winter fire for the unfortunate.” - G. K. Chesterton, The Streets of the City, The New Jerusalem

Highlighted Quotes That Caught my Attention At The Moment

In Which It is the Height of the Season, at last!

Hello, sir! Hello, madame! Good morning, my friend, reader of the present post! Happy December, and it is a happy moment, as I can now say in full force the beautiful Merry Christmas sentence! How are you, today? How is the weather? I am okay, yesterday was pretty bad, though. Ah... just tech issues, you know? I felt I lost most of my day wrestling against Sims 3, and I lost this round. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times and the results were worse and worse, until I lost all my patience. The future for this game in my life is uncertain, though I never fully discard something with a declaration. It has been a particularly rough season for this now zombie franchise. The old friendly ghost of the seas disappeared, and with him, the whole of supply of Sims 4, the door for this one game now for me is positively shut, not that I wanted it open anyway, that game is mediocre and aggravating. Sims 3 is so much better, and yet, I am taking, unoficially, a break from it. A brea...

Song of the week! In which we listen to one of my favorites by Madonna!

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you! And good afternoon! How are you today and how are things going? As usual, I wish you the best and hope everything is fine with you! Are you excited for the weekend? How's the weather where you are? Here it's really hot, like 93 degrees of thermal sensation, not too much wind, the day in which I cry missing the rain! And funny thing, it rained yesterday a bit, but at night! And just for about 10 minutes, really not too much, such a bummer, I hope the winter comes soon, if I can have at least a more mild thermal sensation, I'll be happier indeed! Just enough for me to be able to wear socks at home again, or maybe a sweater as well! I'm gonna have classes at night today, I tried to do the activity the teacher told us to do today, couldn't go too far in it, maybe I'll try again, but not looking too forward to it, I know, this smells like Dan is going on another trip to fail in another boring subject, but overthinking leads to hell, so I'll just keep on going. And talking about keep on going, let's jump to our song of the week! This is a truly special one and I can't believe I haven't shared with you guys yet!
This one needs no introduction: Ray of Light by Madonna!

Released almost 21 years ago, this song and the album that came with it are still considered to be the best work of Madonna by many, and still is the one tht many people think when we talk about the artist, it is indeed a powerful music and a powerful work of art, going beyond of the Pop gender and consolidating itself as one of the great songs of the generation, of course IN MY OPINION. Being both delightful and experimental, this eletronica masterpiece open the gates of spirituality and take us to the sun in a very intense level. A song about freedom, starting over, being reborn, excaping to another realm, mending your mistakes, letting it go. With a music video inspired in the movie Koyaaniqatsi (unbalanced life in Hopi language) it indeed feeds the soul and please our ears. This song is huge, having a huge number of people in its production, songwriting and conception, like Madonna itself, William Orbit, and many others. The final result is a masterpiece. I can't recommend enough this song to you guys, it definitely is worth giving a listen, the whole album actually, one that I need to write about in the future, the whole Ray of Light album is spetacular! Anyway, if you don't have Spotify, don't worry, as I have the Youtube link to the song right here, and even if you do have Spotify, go check the music video as well, it's magnificent! Also the song came out of Spotify recently for reasons I can't understand before it was put back to it with no further explanation, as mysterious as this song.

I'm also including the song Sepheryn by Curtiss Maldon, that influenced directly Ray of Light, listen to Ray of Light and to this other one and be amazed in how they're similar but also different!

And for today this is it, this superb song by Madonna, that will never die. Thank you so much for reading and being here dear reader, you are amazing and I'm very grateful to have you here. Again, thank you so much. I see you next time.
