In Which Balance on French History is Hard to Get Correctly

Good evening, my friend, dear reader of this present post! Happy Monday of a new week! The month of April 2026 reaches its final days, hopefully those will proceed nicely. How are you? Hopefully your werkend went well and with no incidents? Those can be disruptive and bothersome. My own set of days went okay overall. I did receive an important document this Friday, which was the results of my neuropsychological evaluation. As it turns out, I have an IQ above average! It caught me by surprise and I am so happy to see it! My own is at 110, and though this is not exactly what would be called "geniality" territory, that is quite functional and then some, therefore I am happy, on that end. The test flagged exactly what is going on in my head, the result is not entirely positive, and this is not that it can be fixed or cured, it is frustrating how that is not the case with brain issues and quirks, just mitigated and dealt with. I do not have ADHD, but I do have OCD, in a level high...

In which we talk about Windows XP nostalgia

Hello everyone! How are you today? How are things going? As usual, I wish you the best and hope things are doing well with you! Happy Saturday to you! And good Evening! Wow! If we count the post of yesterday as an actual post this means I did two posts in a day, that is nice! I was fixing my old cellphone yesterday so I was up late, so that gave me an idea for writing! I went to sleep at 2AM, pretty late, and I wake up at 8AM, only 6 hours of sleep, but it's important to keep on going right? Make days productive when you can, and for all its shortcomings today was productive, I made three drawings, I played The Sims, just did everything I wanted to do, which makes me really happy! And how is the weather where you are? Here the day was hot, no rain, and the power went down at some point, which sucked, but that gave me the oportunity to finish the book I was reading, yay! I mean, I rushed, but I just like to read fast when I can as I'm a slow reader usually! And the post of yesterday on Highway Blues gave me a bit of a Windows XP nostalgia today, which is what I'm talking about today! Also, omg my birthday is coming!!!!!!!

Don't you guys remember a time when computers were squares with a heavy monitor, an old white mouse and keyboard, notebooks were not as common as they are today. Okay, computers are still square, to an extent, and we still have mouse and keyboards, thank God, but the point is, how different things were on the realm of design, aesthetic and technology! Those devices make you cringe today, with the slim smartphones and tne colorful keyboards we have today, but on the time of Windows XP, I can say it changed my childhood and gave me so many memories! I remember using Word 2000 to write my first stories, and also even draw there, do spreadsheets, even draw! I miss the kind aesthetic of that operational System, I miss paint, that is not what it used to be, even if I still sometimes, and even have wrote a post about it, I miss my first game I played, Empire Earth, and the following ones, Pharaoh, and so on, that kept my mind busy, I miss picking the books of my grandma that would teach you how to use the computer and do the lesson while you were on the PC, oh those were the days! I know, I'm better off today, but still, come on! What a nostalgia! It was a brave new world, one that was coming out of the Windows 98-95 (other machine of nostalgia) and those squares, coming to a place of color and the first steps on 3D graphics on a computer, I saw all this, even as young as 7-9 years old, the computer for me was a refuge from a very mean world, it accepted me as I was and was my friend! It didn't call me disgusting and would tolerate my flaws (though it wouldnt tolerate viruses and those devices were much less powerful than the ones we have today). ANYWAY, to celebrate a bit of Windows XP, let us have yet another wallpaper coming from this iconic piece of technology, let's jump to a few...

Fun fact: today this landscape, located in California (yes, it actually exists) is a wineyard.

Not gonna lie, this was one of my favorites!

It's funny how some of those wallpapers looked more like paintings than actual pictures, not gonna lie though, I almost never used this one...

Want some coffee, anyone??

This one here was a fan favorite!!

Another one of my favorites, so beautiful!!

And, for wrap up this post, some Windows XP art! Thank you guys for being here, hope you all liked my share of stuff and I plan on talking more about Windows XP soon, nerd stuff, or fake nerd stuff, I suck at math and my interest in computers can be classified as somewhat shallow, but anyways, thank you so much guys, you all are the very best! See you all soon!!!
