In Which Life is not SimCity: Washington Square and the Austrian Connection

Good morning, dear friend! Here I return with some more thoughts and ideas about urban planning and so on. I tend to avoid writing so much all at once, but it cannot be helped as I had this idea in mind, I would love to share! Of course, I want first to ask how are you, how are things? As for me, I am a bit fatigued, but not too bad. I pray and hope today can be productive, I want to make some effort and go deliver some documents at the school and hopefully I may find if I can have an internship or not. The weather is miserable, summer ends with a strong and unbearable moist heat, the worst kind. Hope you are havinf a better temperature time today. With that being said, would love to explore this thought I had, as follows: I think I could have mentioned before, I am reading this excellent book by the writer Jane Jacobs, Death and Life of Great American Cities, and it got me thinking that simulation games have really little to do with real life, have they? I say this as a person that lo...

In Which I See How Fast My Cellphone Charges And This Inspired Me!

Good morning, dear reader of this post! Happy Monday, and I do hope this week goes fine! We can only keep on going! How are you? How are things going? How was last week? As for me, everything went upwards I'd say, in retrospect that's how I'll view it! Not only that, this Monday seems like a pretty good day as well, specially because I'll be wrapping up a course today! How awesome is that? After lunchtime I'll have this progress going.

What is happier than a swimming pool with a christmas snowman? That definitely should inspire someone, it certainly does inspire me!

I'd certainly dedicate today's post for the good things! Such as purchasing new drawing materials, to USB-C charging cables, because they are SO FAST! My Goodness! As I said on the title, it baffles me how fast the cellphone charges with those cables! And, as I'm using this excellent gear, the iPhone 11, battery also lasts FOREVER! (at least for now, the cellphone will deteriorate as the months-years go by, as it should, but for now I must enjoy its vigor of youth) Like, gone are the days in which I had to turn back home if I forgot the charging cable there. Now, with my new iPhone (which is not even the newer model, even!) the battery do last longer than in my previous model, the iPhone SE 2016 (that is still for sale). When I went to college, this Friday, in the road I realized I forgot the cable, it was very frustrating, but I decided to keep going to college, even if the phone was at 47% of charged battery. I mean, someone there would have a charging cable, should I need one. Well, I did not need it! Those 5 hours I was out of home, the battery lasted just fine! It was at 20% when I finally got to my grandma's, at 10 something PM. I will keep on going by with my charging cable, BUT I won't concern myself so much anymore! This impressed me so much It pushed me to write today! I wasn't planning ot do so, and yet here I am, halfway accross it!

I was going to say on the title that "good things inspire me" but it turns out this also goes for bad things, such as some arguments with a friend and so on, like it happened on my server this Saturday. I mean, it wasn't an argument, but my very strong opinions on the evil that is Democracy caused a friend to manifest itself. He certainly wasn't introduced to the anti-statism way of thinking, the libertarian way. It goes to show how fragmented society is, more than before, today. Because one thing that is accepted as fact in some groups is outrageously denied by the other. It even goes to the point some question the validity of an universal truth, fact that goes for everyone. Fortunately, I am not one of those post modern ones. I hold conviction that there is universal truth. One of those truths is that society is fragmented, increasingly different groups can't live alongside each other, and forcing them to do so, such is the fashionable view of these days, is in its way out, and so on... This all was inspired by a bad thing, not a good one. But good things are not to be underestimated, they inspire as well and make us go forward! The charging cable of my phone was a quality of life improvement that indeed inspired me to go forward, as an example that I'm quoting again.

Well, this post is getting so big! You guys know how I feel about those, so I'll just wrap up things here, and also wishing you the best and saying I'll be back real soon with a new one. I can promise I'll be back at the 31st with my Farewell to March. Can't say I'll come earlier than that, but who knows? Anyway, wish you the best, and I see you real soon! More possibly on March 31st!
