As for me, I am alright, and I'm glad I can write about Anno's new DLC today! I can't wait to try it out, as I've seen Taka and Aestris playing it some days ago, looks awesome, absolutely, though not pristine. And I am okay, I am a bit sleepy, true, but I also plan on using my printer yet again today, it should be fun! We'll see how it goes. Also, isn't it time to start planning the Christmas Tree of 2022? I absolutely think so! And I shall work on it soon, at some point! Cheers! I already am brewing with ideas, so that is very good! But anyway, returning to Anno...

Anno will soon, I believe some hours from now, release a new DLC that is really spread out, and also brings the game into the skies once again, and perhaps, this time for good - in the sense that The Passage DLC did fail into making Airships a popular option for most players. Called The Empire of the Skies, it will add yet more airships into the game, it will also come with air combat, for those who appreciate that, I personally think is a nice addition, and it incentivizes me to play more with the AI, something I may consider in the future, maybe… the DLC will also add mailing system into the game, something that seems awesome, but the execution of such new mechanic brought many trouble to the ones that have access to the early access for this new content, and it goes beyond just roleplaying issues. I have reason to believe the devs should fix those said issues in the near future, but well, for now, we’ll have to deal with it, when it is available, few moments from now! This new pack will come with a free update to the game, this one will be quite a big one! It will add a whole new mechanic to it, another new one, and it is called the Lifestyle needs of the residents of your city! After providing them with necessities and amenities, you may even would like to offer them with more quality of life items, they are completely optional, and they offer bonuses that are worth getting, I suppose! New population in a house is a welcoming thing, though the challenges will be great, because this will increase consumption for all other needs. It is kind of a trade off… it does open up for new crazy opportunities, just think of that: more compact cities but with the same pop as before, can be indeed powerful, and you'll be able to use the rest of your island as you please! I like it! Like I mentioned earlier, I am sort of concerned about the mailing system and its flaws, but I really like the new airships! I am sure they'll add something else to the game.
It is hard to explain what is wrong with the mailing system, because it is a technicality, but a huge one. From what I saw, also, you'll only be able to provide certain islands with the main mail influx... it does seem confusing, also the airships will use very slow platforms to take the mail in and out, which can cause some issues as well... And I saw causing issues on Taka's and Aestris's streams... underwhelming, I hope they fix something with it or so... I don't know, I am not a game dev, but I can see when something doesn't work too well. I suppose this post is getting quite big, though, so I must be off rn, I hope to go to the house of my grandma early this morning to draw, practice drawing, and use the printer! Lots of plans. I am also sleepy, so not ideal, but anyway... I will see you again real soon, with hopefully more nice posts here at the divagation store!
