In Which the fields turn to Magenta

Good evening, my dear friend, jolly reader of this present post! Happy Wednesday! How are you? Hope you have been okay so far? I am okay... it has been quite an exhausting couple of days, as I have been following the situation in Iran more closely than I'd like, as it turns out. I am not sure how to proceed, even, the news are quite depressing. They talk of dozen thousands slaughtered, and the count grows by the minute. I thought the islamic regime would not take too long to fall, and though in retrospect that may be it, given there has been, in reality, less than a month since the height of the protests began, still, in two days or so, the devil Khomenei has been responsible for 12 thousand dead or so. One can expect that regimes with messianic complex, and gnostic at that too, would be capable of evil deeds, given they would always have the sanction to do so in their twisted minds. But... twelve thousand, or more, and the numbers will grow and grow fast. And it is not a move that...

In Which we have a Christmas Post, and when Sacrifice becomes Forgiveness

Good morning, dear friend, dear reader of this post! And, of course, I want to wish you a wonderful, merry Christmas, with so much joy and peaceful moments, no quarrels, only grace, beauty and gifts that are a symbol of friendship and good will, and of hopes for more prosperous, more freedom-focused times, more carefree ones. I was supposed to write yesterday as well, on the christmas eve, but I decided to lay down to rest instead. Sometimes, it is needed. I also did not draw, but that is okay, not only I don't have to do it, but also, I can do it today, if I so desire. In fact, I do have a plan to work on a piece for my friend, dear Johannes, but first I am laying to rest just a bit, and also to just write on this sacred day, that is the birth of the Lord! It is an important moment, and this is for everyone, because it symbolizes a shift in western culture. As much as I love the beautiful works of antiquity, their world was marked by a tendency towards sacrifice, shame, and unforgiving code of laws. This is due to their myths and religion. Their gods, the greek ones, and roman ones, were beings capable of much wrath and terrible deeds, they were demanding and, even by their standards, evil. The faith of the Hebrews was the first one to move towards a more humanistic frame, but even at the dawn of the Christian era, many have become focused on their process and rites, rather than their meaning, what was all about. It was a huge caldron of different interpretations of the Mosaic law, and huge cultural shifts, the world that humble Mary and Joseph becomes parents to Jesus. And well, 35 or so years later, a new different branch of Judaism was started to brew, one that goes further on the focus of human dignity, integrity, and forgiveness, as well as the possibility of repentance and of salvation, something that the classical antiquity world, as much advanced and sophisticated as it was, was not entirely acquainted with. Now, is this a perfect narration? Of course not, as there are many nuances, variables, and contradictions, in the bumpy history of our world and our civilization. But, the ground, the mind frame for better times, more tolerant even, was laid, and it would be a matter of time for the believers ot Christ to start perceiving that as well... Now, this is being written by just a guy on the internet, that has had more coffee than he should, and with my own biases and readings, so take it with a grain of salt. But do listen to what I say as well, I may have a point. And by saying that I do have my bias and readings, I never ever meant to say there is no possibility of impartiality, or an unbiased approach, that there is no truth. No. No. No. There is an objective truth, and just as there is the possibility of redemption, there is also the possibility of impartiality, tied with the idea of human dignity, because we are not entitled to much in this life, but we are entitled to at least have the chance to find The Truth, in an unbiased way if possible. What else is there to be said? I think this will be my Christmas message for 2024! I was not planning on writing such text, but since I have, and I am satisfied with it, I will leave it at that.

So, to wrap up today's special post, when should I return? I pray and hope as soon as I can! The year is now officially quickly moving towards its closure! We are 6 days shy from 2025!! I want to write a more personal christmas post if I can, afterwards, as well as a balance of 2024, and so on and so forth... maybe 2 posts more till wrapping up December, that is the plan. As well as doing some more drawings, but the drawing part is another story. In any case, once and once again: Merry Christmas, I wish you the best, and I see you again real soon.
