In Which one cannot build a nice house in rocky unstable foundations

Good morning, dear reader of this post, my friend. How are you, in this first week of July? I hope your last month went well? For me, because of the college work being more demanding alongside other woes, I cannot say I particularly thrived in those two last ones, neither in May, or June. It is not fault of Winter or Fall, and I will not take people blaming the best weather of the year for the faults of some assignments and deep loneliness. I am sad that, in June, I could not do much to aknowledge Midmas, but it is not fault of this quirky little thing I have tried to make it happen with me, and again, I won't take people blaming my longing for Christmas. And if anything, there is July, we will see if I will do a postcard or something. Anyway, the weather is lovely, and even with my financial concerns, I cannot say exactly that June will end on a sad note or downward trend. Just turbulence. If anything, it was also the blog's anniversary on the 8th! That is wonderful, isn't...

In Which November 2025 ends, another November of Creative block

Good morning, my friend, reader of this post! Happy Sunday! How are you, today? Hope you have been in a good moment? Those are always important to aknowledge, and never to be taken for granted. I know that well, as this early morning, I tried to write on the post, only to feel dread, because of a strong creative block I have been facing. Perhaps was just hunger, at least in this occasion, as now that I had my breakfast, some eggs with tomato sauce, I feel much much better. How are you, in the approach of the height of the season? I am so happy and I am eager, anxious even, to celebrate the beautiful Christmas time as I can. There is the relief of having survived another ybbear, or at least to have reached its most wonderful days. In any case, how is your fall season going? Or are you from a normal place that dows not have such bizarre undertaking? The weather for me has been following a simple pattern for now: cold nights and super heat during the mornings. I will always root for the coolest temperature, and I hope this sunmer is not as suffocating as the one in 2023-2024.

November was a month of creative block overall, as I mentioned. I did not draw much, and neither have I written, alas. Maybe December will be more vibrant on that front, I hope it may. I did notice Novembers have a pattern, though I will not take it literally, for being unproductive. As unpromising as it went, I did reach my official vacation from college, and as such, closing down another semester in my history course. Fortunately, this course could as well be the one that I will get a diploma from!

November had some big releases in videogaming world! The much much awaited Anno 117 was released, and it is better than expected. As I am used to city builders being more of a niche genre, there was a starvation for many years on the end of Roman-inspired ones. To be fair, as a whole, not a whole lot of city builders were available back in 2020, as an example. Today, I think specially thanks to the indie scene and Steam, we have seen an explosion in variety of games, that including some strategy ones. Since 2024, in special, there has been a surge in Roman city building games, such as Citadelum, Pax Augusta, Pompeii the Legacy. Anno 117, though, is the biggest of them all, and the most visually appealing. The game did receive criticism because of Ubisoft's trademark of bad business practices, but as a whole, it has been quite a success. Another release we had was Europa Universalis 5. I hope I get to play this one someday, because as it is, I don't play, I just try to survive, because Paradox did it: they made a game more complicated than EU4! The interface is very deceitful, and the options to automate some features even more so. The consensus has been positive, I am still to give any rating on this one, though, because J just have not played it enough.

I haven't changed my highlighted quote on my blog in a while, now, but because I cannot bring myself to do it, given the words of Emperor Franz Joseph I are so beautiful. Maybe this December I will have to add another UI for changinf quotes, because this one is definitely staying a bit longer. "I am the last ruler of the old order. As Emperor, it is my duty to defend my peoples from their politicians". That is a healthy perspective any dignified ruler should pursue. Yet, I may add a new UI because we do need some beautiful christmas quotes. Ah, we'll see how it goes.

With good expectations for December, time to wrap up this blog's entry, on the divagation store! I will, of course, return real soon with more words, thoughts, and so on! Hopefully quite soon! Just hally to be here, that too is never to be taken for granted! In any case, happy Sunday, see you again real soon, for another beautiful Christmas season in the divagation store.
