In Which songs from 2011 bring me some memories of days past... a post done out of nostalgia

Good morning my excellent friend, reader of this present post! How are you? How is the week going? It has begun, and I pray, in a good way. I am overall okay. Not much else to be said, really. Just awaken way too late in the night/early in the morning. I will likely be sleepy by 6 to 7AM, but I won't desire to sleep. It will be that annoying battle against the heavy eyes. At times I am with much anxiety to sleep. Maybe I should look for some other comfort beverage besides coffee. I did cut to 3 mugs a day, 4 if I am indulgent... I used to think it would just make me stay awake, but it just mitigates sleepy time, so the enchantment over caffeine has been dimmed...

This is just a series of impromptu thoughts I had when the social media algorithm recommended me a post with by now old songs, tunes that were mainstream a decade ago. Imagine, a whole decade! In fact, 16 years ago, give it or take... bitter, that it went away so completely. I was 14, then, I am 27 now. Almost 3 decades old, if you believe it! And at 14 I already thought I was old! I was not, I definitely was not done in personality, even if I thought I was. It was the present... well let us dive into these memories, some vague, some with romantic lenses, all that stood up so far.

Ah, at times it seems like my life before a certain moment just blurs, events from 2009 got mixed up with 2011 stuff, and I barely can remember accurately anything past 2007. I did listen to some of the songs that were playing on the radio back in 2011, though, and dang, I know life was far from a rose garden back then, but I have a nostalgia for some scenes of that era. I remember vaguely the height of Aero, before I even knew that word was a thing. I remember the new computer of my grandpa, a work computer that I nonetheless would use to play Civ 4, in a much better speed, finally I was somewhat able to have a place for my games and to experience them. At home too, with my dad's computer that he allowed me to use for the first time. A flood of memories, back when mom was doing dancing lessons at that gym, or ny brother practicing soccer in that field, and we'd go get them after practice, after I'd finish my english lessons at that english school. Why does it feel so bitter? You know, the world of friendship finally opened to me, not entirely but from the ground laid in 2009-2010, I was having more people I could reasonably hang out with. And I even remember the last soap opera I watched on television, the last moments of shared culture before it started to fragment. I remember a world before 2013. Certainly a mess, it was in paralel the height of societal anesthesia and the height of the wave of leftism that washed over the globe. There were cracks of light already, and in a way, some people were more open minded to divergent ideas, like my mom... I remember that Christmas, and my favorite tv show airing every sunday. And the visit of my cousins from America... I was really not aware, many of those moments would not really come back, would it? 2012 was such a blissful year too! I wrote on 2012 before. Then chaos in my life erupted starting 2013, and... it was never really a solid ground for over a decade. Ah, such is life.

I wanted to share this today. When you feel like writing, you ought to catch the moment and never let go! Write and thrive at it! I am happy I could do it today! You know, I can have moments of writing block, but whenever I am reminded of the golden years of that time of my life, I am compelled to register them. Mostly the good... I know it is distorted somehow, there were bad things in 2011 in my life, oh for sure! But for now, only the good memories come to light. How nice! I wish it was always the case.

Time to wrap up today's post! I appreciate you for being here! And maybe I will see you again real soon? I want to return to the blog around the weekend for some more thoughts and ideas, but if I have other stuff in mind, I should write it, and thrive at it! I of course wish you the best, and I bid you farewell but just for now! Make sure to sleep good, better than me, definitely... and drink water, that is always nice.
