In Which Gardening Will Not Redeem Diocletian

Good morning, my friend! I am fighting against the desire to sleep, as I do want to write a post today. My eyes are so heavy, my muscles are all failing, it is like I am going to explode in exhaustion. And yet, maybe it isn't sleep, it could be anemia in any case, I hope you are in a healthier position than me, today? Of course, do let me know. And also, let me know how is the weather? Here it is one day of mild winter, which is so much appreciated. Fun how just being some centimeters in a different direction, concerning the planets, can make a difference! Here, it means the difference between a scorching day, and a more mild one. There could be influence of the ocean currents as well, but anyway, I would love to jump to today's theme, that motivated me to write. If you allow me, let is jump to it! As I mentioned anemia, let us turn to gardening, or more specifically, to cabbages and lettuces. I saw a post today that pointed that Emperor Diocletian abdicated the throne to go ta...

In Which we start the day with a new post!

Hello and good morning, dear reader of this post! How are you today, how are things going? How is the weather? As for me, I'm alright, just waking up, I drank my morning coffee, brushed the teeth, took on my anxiety meds, a pretty chill one, if you ask me! The weather has been weird, which is to be expected from a transitory month such as September. Sometimes, in a day, it rains a lot, makes a lot of heat, and also the winds of the endyear are here! I mentioned those before, on other posts of this very blog! A sign this 2021 is (not so) slowly drawing to a close. How is your year going so far? This has been a very balanced one for me. Some terrible moments like being without a computer and having to do exercises, some very pleasant ones, like chatting with friends and such. I also lost my best friend, but I don't wanna dwell too much into this.

Anno and The Sims are coming with more content for the game pretty soon! The first will release the "Pedestrian Zone" Cosmetic DLC this coming Tuesday! I'm excited for what it will bring, the cosmetics in such a diverse game are a very welcoming addition! I also heard they will bring canals to the game, besides the ones that exist in Enbesa, I'm curious to see more about this. As for The Sims, they are bringing two kits focused on outfits. One will be Seoul Airport Fashion, which is oddly specific but also pretty interesting, because I'm all about Korean stuff! The other is based on Indian fashion, specifically in the streets of the city of Mumbai.

As for Mumbai, I was gonna put it in parenthesis but the text got too big so I'll just add this as a new paragraph: That city was known in previous years as Bombay, not sure EXACTLY why they changed the name, but I guess is, like in Turkey, as a way to "shake things up" after a change in government. In Turkey, cities such as Constantinople became Istambul (yes, Istambul was Constantinople when Turkey was the Ottoman Empire, now is Istambul not Constantinople), in India, Bombay became Mumbai. Such a mess were the two changes in administration, when the British left India, a massive struggle happened between the Indian Muslims and the Indian Hindus, so much that they were talking about moving the Taj Mahal to the muslim part of India (Pakhistan). Why is that? Because the Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim Shah of the name Jahan, to one of his loved wives that died, Mumtaz Mahal (not sure if I wrote it correctly, but I hope you understood). The Mughal Dynasty, that Jahan was a part of, was on the retreat when the British arrived in the country, and so the story goes.

Back to the kit, I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to it, I'm more excited for the Seoul Airport Fashion. Let me tell you, the inspirations for the sims team sometimes are justifiable, but other times are so weird (Seoul Airport Fashion says it all). Anyway. Anything that's coming that you are looking forward to? Let me know!

Here's a sample of South Korean fashion! I personally love it, and I can't wait to dress my sims in this style! The Sims team may have some oddly specific weird inspirations, but I like where they're heading in this particular case.

This post is getting too big, so I think I should cut it short. Thank you ever so much, my friend, for reading this! Hope you like it, see you again real real soon!
