In Which One Begins 2026 Business as Usual: Ora et Labora on the Unknown

Good morning, dear friend, reader of this present post! Happy  first day of January and 2026! Hope your last one of 2025 went fine? Do let me know! As for me, the beginning of 2026 was one where I slept through most of it, or at least did my try on napping, because the noise was great. I spent the firework moments at my grandma's apartment, but we did not see much of each other during that moment, she went downstairs for a small gathering with her neighbors, and the neighbors had an appaling taste in background music. I was tired and with not much patience for doing anything, so I retired to my own room here, and then went for the balcony to see the beautiful spectacle. In comparison to last year, it was much less "magical" so to speak, given I already knew the procedures from 2024-2025. Song of the week! In which we go Synth Pop with The Human League!

Hello everyone!! Happy Friday to you!! How are you today and how are things going?? As usual, I wish you the best and hope you're having a nice day! Always happy to be here!
As for me, today is being a hot day, very hot. I can't lament too much though, yesterday was a rare nice day concerning weather, like it was cloudy and it rained a bit, truly lovely and I really appreciated it. Well, it's not being like this today but anyway, at least I had my rain for a bit, right? Overall just a calm day though, I don't have college so I'm just breathing and having a calm day, maybe I'll sketch something later, I have some ideas!!! Anyway, today is MUSIC FRIDAY!!! And with it I'm bringing a song that I discovered this week and that I loved it instantly! I introduce you to Don't You Want Me by The Human League!!!



I discovered this fantastic Synth Pop song out of nowhere this Wednesday, while the album I was listening to ended and Spotify switched to the radio of similar songs, as he usually do. I was too lazy to turn down the app so I kept on listening while focusing on other stuff, and then this song came in. I was immediately struck by it! Its beat, of course, really caught me, the lyrics are nice and the vocals are AMAZING! Just everything 80's this song is! Since it was released in 1981, it really came as an announcement of what one of my favorite decades would be like! Since I had no idea this album and this band existed before listening to this song, I can't talk too much about them, but I'll definitely search more about it in the future, and if I really like it you guys can 100% expect to see it here in the future as well!
