Quote of the moment Vol.2

“Any one thinking of the Holy Child as born in December would mean by it exactly what we mean by it; that Christ is not merely a summer sun of the prosperous but a winter fire for the unfortunate.” - G. K. Chesterton, The Streets of the City, The New Jerusalem

Highlighted Quotes That Caught my Attention At The Moment

In Which It is the Height of the Season, at last!

Hello, sir! Hello, madame! Good morning, my friend, reader of the present post! Happy December, and it is a happy moment, as I can now say in full force the beautiful Merry Christmas sentence! How are you, today? How is the weather? I am okay, yesterday was pretty bad, though. Ah... just tech issues, you know? I felt I lost most of my day wrestling against Sims 3, and I lost this round. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times and the results were worse and worse, until I lost all my patience. The future for this game in my life is uncertain, though I never fully discard something with a declaration. It has been a particularly rough season for this now zombie franchise. The old friendly ghost of the seas disappeared, and with him, the whole of supply of Sims 4, the door for this one game now for me is positively shut, not that I wanted it open anyway, that game is mediocre and aggravating. Sims 3 is so much better, and yet, I am taking, unoficially, a break from it. A brea...

In which we talk about the Corn season with no Fireplaces

Good morning dear reader, happy Monday and I wish you the best! How are you today and how are things going? I wish you the best and hope all is well with you! As for me, things are alright, as my friend Ethan would say. Anyway, how is the weather where you are today? Here it is nice and cozy, quite a lovely winter, honestly! Such a nice thing! Well, it could be better if we had some fireplaces, but you really can't have it all. This corn season with no fireplaces reminds me of 2012, let me explain why...

In 2012, my grandpa went to the hospital in SĂŁo Paulo. He ended up returning from there worst than he went, because the surgery he had to do was a disaster, in a way of putting it. That year we didn't have fireplaces in the Corn Season, dad didn't think was appropriate to do so, quite the shame, honestly, as I come to find out, in times like these it is as good having times of joy than in any other moment. No fireplaces in 2012. Well, that year is till this day remembered as the best year of my life for a number of reasons, they would sound trivial today, but back then it were quite the big deal, things such as having friends that actually like me, getting what you want to get, specially when that thing seemed out of reach, good grades in the subject that I struggled the most, having a blog with a nice story being written there, quite what I had in 2012!
This year, no fireplace as well, also for medical reasons, the Corona vacation, so to speak... and it got worse, now that you need to wear masks and all sort of thing, it is a bother... but it doesn't mean, again, that the year is going bad, I find 2020 to be a good year so far, maybe it's just me. I will miss the fireplaces though :( Lots of phases I had in past Junes, such as the era of cake on breakfast, 2018. And the Door Monster era: part 2, 2017. I also had a Door Monster era: part 1, in 2016;
In 2011, I had quite a nice fireplace, with lots of my favorite show as well, and Fondue! I absolutely love Fondue, it's been a while since the last time I had it, I'd love some more honestly! In 2009, the same thing, those were nice seasons!
This post is like a nice nostalgia session, I am glad to be speaking of past situations, well, thank you for being here, reading this, wish you the best dear reader, and I see you next time, and I hope the next time is soon...
