In Which one cannot build a nice house in rocky unstable foundations

Good morning, dear reader of this post, my friend. How are you, in this first week of July? I hope your last month went well? For me, because of the college work being more demanding alongside other woes, I cannot say I particularly thrived in those two last ones, neither in May, or June. It is not fault of Winter or Fall, and I will not take people blaming the best weather of the year for the faults of some assignments and deep loneliness. I am sad that, in June, I could not do much to aknowledge Midmas, but it is not fault of this quirky little thing I have tried to make it happen with me, and again, I won't take people blaming my longing for Christmas. And if anything, there is July, we will see if I will do a postcard or something. Anyway, the weather is lovely, and even with my financial concerns, I cannot say exactly that June will end on a sad note or downward trend. Just turbulence. If anything, it was also the blog's anniversary on the 8th! That is wonderful, isn't...

Album of the month! In which we live our Teenage Dream!

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you!!! How are you today and how are things going?? As always, I wish you the best!!!  Today is being a fresh day, which makes me really happy! I'm wearing my sweater with my kitten slippers and just writing this post!! Yay!!! And today I don't have class, so I can write the posts in the morning!! Which is something I appreciate a lot! Sounds like a promising last day of August so far!
I had some difficulty on trying to find the album of the month this time, I had no idea on what was the best one for August... I was about to write on Wanted on Voyage, the first album of one of my favorite artists George Ezra, but I thought better and decided that since this month was my birthday month, we could use a more festive album! Don't get me wrong, I love George and I love WOV, BUT that record is not what I'd call suited for a birthday party, or any party (I'd throw a party with this record as the background BUT anyway)...
So, what to do? Luckily, I had an idea about an album that is way more fitted for this ocasion!! It's also one of my favorites and also by one of my favorite artists! It's TEENAGE DREAM by KATY PERRY!!!!!!!!!!

The cover of this album is made by the very much talented artist Will Cotton! Until recently I thought it was an actual picture of Katy taken at live, I'm such a poser, ANYWAY, this very incredible piece of art fits this glorious album very much!

Not only this album is one of my favorites, it's also a classic of Pop music! One of the biggest ones in the decade of 2010, it defined a generation, one that I was part of! It has the biggest number of successful hits in the history of music: 6 in total! And with the ones added in its continuation, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, the number goes to 8!!! No other artist achieved this before that, and so far no artist beated this record, as far as I know! After struggling for  long years to become a singer, Katy had a very deserving debut with the hits of her first official album One of the Boys, also one of my favorites, but apart from the hits such as I Kissed a Girl and Hot n Cold, it was panned by the critics. Now with her second album, she rises to become a Musical giant, a place that will never be taken away from her after this massive masterpiece!
No wonder why the hits of this record were so successful, they got a bit of everything! The rhythim is upbeat and pleasant, the lyrics are catchy and smart, it's marvelously well produced and Katy's voice fits very well into everything! It has the potential of pleasing everyone and it fits everywhere! From parties to the radio, listening it in the car! It's 2018, and I can still listen to this songs in the radio today, songs of 2009-2012! That's how succesful those hits are!
Now, apart from the hits, the truth is the whole album is great, it has a little of everything, we can feel inspired by Pearl, we can cry at The One That Got Away, and we can wonder about the real world relationships at Not Like The Movies! All of this without losing the joy and the innocence, a part of the innocence that should never be lost!
I love Katy's style of being in your face and making the most fantastic comparisons in her lyrics, it's one of the reasons I love her as well!
This album has a huge impact in my life, as it helped me to put myself together after my bad moments of 2014. The song Firework is probably one of my favorites ever, as he tells you that no matter low you can get, there's always something inside of you that makes your life worth living, there's always someone that's gonna like you, and you will be happy, and you'll be fine, no matter if you feel like a plastic bag sometimes.
There's so much I'd like to say about this remarkable album, but I think it's best to leave this post ending here, If you want to you can listen to it as well and you can have your own experiences with it! And if you don't have Spotify do not distress! I have the Youtube link to it right here!

And that's it for our album of the month!! Now, coming next, the song of the week!!
