In Which we Wrap up February and I think of my upcoming appointments with the doctors...

Good morning, friend! Happy Saturday! The last week of February went by quite fast, and here it is, the end of such month, one to set the tone for 2026, or at least parts of it. I am happy to have you here today in the divagation store and society. How are you? As for me, I am okay, it is that moment of the month when food misses the fridge, and the gas misses the stove, it means it is almost time for more grocery shopping, to be done ideally as soon as possible, with the first day of March, or so. As for the month, I can say with some degree of fulfillment that at least it was a productive one. I have worked on 7 drawings in total, which is quite above average concerning this area. I did write about the same quantity on the blog as well, and I did reach around 900 entries, which I am so happy to have done it.  The weather has become decidedly hotter, given February is the apex of summer on that regard. I am dreaming of the rains that will come at some point, but for now I just hop...

Picture of the week! In which we talk about teapots!!!

Hello everyone!! Happy Monday to you!!! How are you today and how are things going?? As usual, I wish you the best, and hope things are really doing well today!! As for me, the day is hot, and we're heading towards summer fast, but Halloween and Christmas season are still on, so yay, and I'm having a nice calm day, so yay for that as well!!! Today is also a happy day because it's the birthday of my friend Becky, and she's really amazing!!!! So happy birthday to her and may she have a lovely day!!!
Today I decided to have a pic of the week, also in homage to Becky!! She loves pottery and even does some pottery sometimes herself! Actually, if you like, and if you like pottery too, you can check her work at @glazednconfusd on Instagram, I'm a fan myself! So, it's not necessarily a pottery piece what I have to show today, and it's not a mug either, it's actually a teapot I found on Tumblr and fell in love with! And it's made of porcelain (I guess), let me show you all!

I found it sometime in the beginning of this year and saved the picture because it pleased me a lot! Look how beautiful and well executed it is! Okay, I'm not an expert, I can only say what my eyes tell me. Actually, I prefer this way, sometimes being an expert kills the magic, or at least that's what I feel sometimes. I try on looking for more information on this lovely piece, and unfortunately I couldn't find anything, which breaks my heart, but here he is, standing proud, on my humble post! I actually tried something different yesterday and I tried to sketch some teapots myself! It was an homage to my friends Justin and Becky, who are making their birthdays this week, they like tea as well, and like me, they seem to love teapots! So I made those in homage to them! It was really hard and I had to redraw them a couple of times but I made it! It's actually a good thing for practice, to do a sketch with a meaning and struggle into you get there... I am averse to struggles, which puts me always in an exhausted state of mind, but anyway, let me show the teapots to you guys and maybe you guys will like them...

I did it on colored paper so it could have an extra feeling to it! This one is shaped like a very weird fruit. Sorry for the shadows on the pictures, I took them as soon as I finished the sketches, last night, on a rush of energy
This one is inspired on another fruit and has a cat on the thing that opens the teapot! I don't know the name to it, sorry guys! Anyway, even though Becky works with Pottery, both of these teapots are made of porcelain, but anyway, just an homage to these amazing friends...

Teapots and more teapots is what we have for today, dear reader! I do love porcelain a lot, I must say, how about you?? Any thoughts on it? Well, thank you so much for reading this, you're the very best, and see you guys next time! And happy Birthday again to Becky! And also happy birthday to Justin, who's having his special day at 20th of this month, which makes me so happy for them! Birthdays are days to celebrate indeed, and I got to celebrate my own birthday a lot this year, so that's something! Okay, I have to go now, byeee, see you guys on Sketch of the week Wednesday!
