In Which I wonder: Are we on a Permian Moment, or are we on the Triassic?

Good evening, my friend, dear reader of this present post! How are you, today? Hope you have been well this week? I wish I did write sooner, we are on the eve of my blog's birthday, this publication is closer to being 10 years of existence, which is insane, and a bit odd. I do not know, at all, how to celebrate this year's, I haven't had good ideas for a while on how to mark the moment, as much as I'd love to. We'll see, I may write a short story, write a poem or something. Truth is I am still recouping from my big 2019 project(!), the over the garden wall fanfiction. How absurd that it took me so long,  but that ambitious project did cause me to become creatively tired, on this theme. This week was harsh in some moments, as I was suffering immensely from deep loneliness and lack of any inch of hope for better moments. Specially on last week's Sunday. I am recovering, but I still consider myself to be on a fragile state. I need to catch up with my college stuff ...

Song of the Week! In which we go to a Dead's Man Party

Hello everyone!! Happy Friday to you all!!! How are you guys doing today? How are you? As always, I wish you the best, and hope everything is being really fine! Here in october, I think the "could-be" rainy days are behind us, and a very hot sun is what we have until next winter, in 2019! We'll just have to smile and go through this, always with sunglasses and proper clothing so we can survive the heat and the rays of sun, that are strong and can be damaging as hell! Anyway, we'll have good moments in spite of anything, so let's keep on moving on! One day at a time!
THE VOICE IS BACK GUYS!!!!11 I'm so happy!!!! This season sounds great already, so many talented people out there, it's so mind blowing!!! I cannot wait to see the next episodes and keep on following the show as I love to do! I still don't have a favorite of this season, and honestly, but who knows, there're lots of weeks of blind auditions ahead of us, and a whole season filled with amazing performances, so let's see what the future holds!
Talking about music, today is music Friday!!! And since we're on a spooky season, let's have not a regular party, but a DEAD'S MAN PARTY!!!

Fun fact: the kitten on this cover is an illustration by Louis Wain!

I discovered this band, Oingo Boingo, absolutely out of nowhere in June of this year! I was looking for the soundtrack of a movie I watched recently, Can't Buy Me Love, a really nice movie from the 80's with a lot of great songs in it! I should write about this movie soon, but one step at a time right, otherwise this post will turn into an encyclopedia! Okay, so I was listening to one of the musics of the film on Youtube, when I found out a title that caught my attention on the recommended session. It was a song called Weird Science by this band with a really weird name Oingo Boingo. In spite of my second thoughts, I decided to give it a try, and the rest is history, I totally fell in love with this really odd synth-ska inspired-pop band from the 80's! Never heard songs more upbeat and weird than the songs of this band, and I loved them deeply!! It's both weird and amazing that Danny Elfman, the lead singer of this band (that doesn't exist anymore since the 90's) is the same one who voice acted JACK SKELLINGTON from THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS!!!! This is so crazy!!! Not only that, but the movie itself does sound a bit like a Oingo Boingo experience for children, even though this is a movie for everyone, because it's an amazing movie and I must write a post on it, but anyway, enough about this, let's talk about this song!
From the album of the same name, released in 1985, Dead Man's Party has lyrics that fit Halloween season like a comfortable glove! It's morbid, spooky, but also really funny and amazing to listen! The whole song has a ska vibe that it's so exotic and amazing! I was wanting to share something by this band for a while now, and since we're on Spooky season I found this to be the best opportunity to do so! I totally encourage you guys to give this one a try and remember: be careful not to be struck by lightning walking down the street!
And if you don't have Spotify, don't go lookin for lightinings to strike you, I have the Youtube link to this song right here!!

And this spooky song is what we have for today!!!! Thank you so much for being here reading this, you're the very best!!! See you guys next time!
