Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you! Good evening as well! How are you today? How are things going? As usual, I do wish you the best and hope things are really going well with you! It's so wonderful to have you here and it's wonderful to be writing this! Yay!
Before we begin, I'd like to say happy birthday to my great online friend Graeme aka HueGram, a streamer that I slowly started following on June and that today I consider a really important person in my life, for his friendship and his kindness! He's a great streamer and a great human being, honest, genuine and reliable, and that has a very characteristc sense of humor! He has sense of humor but he's a very kind human being and a person filled with wisdom and that's willing to be nice and to help you. It's also great to watch him and this only makes me more willing and happy to support him in the ways I can. I'm not a twitch person, I am not an active viewer, but I do try to help him in the ways that I can and it's always great to see him and to talk to him! He really deserves much happiness and success in his life, and if you're looking to a great streamer to see, if you can you should check on him! He can be found on Twitter and Instagram as @huegramtwitch, and on Twitch as HueGram! And for his birthday I made this fanart, just a simple gift to this amazing human being that he is.
Indeed over the months I got to meet many people that are amazing, on places I hardly aknowledge the existence one year ago. A lot of wonderful streamers, like my best friend, Justin Aka The Captain, and Hue aka Monsieur Seals, and Becky, who started to stream now but have been around in my life for longer, Corinne, who also streams sometimes, and so many others, all of them amazing, all of them that bring much happiness to my life, for their friendship. Those are online friendships, I know, but they're wonderful regardless of that, and even going beyond stream, we have Luke of The Edge of Ideas, and we have Alex, who I communicate sometimes when he has time to properly answer me, all of them amazing people.
And talking about amazing, here we are, in the end of November, and the dawn of December. It was a true month of transition for me, and I felt that on the weather, as we went through Halloween to Christmas, Christmas that was around since September but finally came to stay in the late weeks of November. The winds of november are gone and the heat is here to stay, I keep on trying new things on my sketches, on my own pace, this semester in college is about to end, though I still have a lot to do. It was a very diverse month in many things, filled with great moments and terrible ones, calmness and extreme anxiety, and all that, but all of this with the special spice of Christmas, which makes it so wonderful. I have to say, can't wait to go get my christmas gifts, and to have the christmas food and all that, it is truly remarkable! In spite of everything, I'm gonna miss this november, and I really do hope for a white Christmas (in my case I will get sun and will have to walk with sunscreen to avoid sunburns but anyway) and a peaceful season of kindness and joy. This november was quite a month, it had its impact in my life.
And with all that said, time for song of the week! And as we close November I decided to bring the amazing Riley Elmore again and some jazz, with his cover of Softly As In A Morning Sunrise!
Coming with his EP Graceless, this is one of the songs Riley recorded after his participation on The Voice, and one of my favorites of his wonderful release of last year! With his milky soft irreverent but powerful and impactful voice, Riley sing this heartbreaking song about the other side of love, and how things can derail, something Madonna sings a lot as well. About the anxiety, the obsession, everything that may come with this powerful feeling. A case can be said that love is no obsession, but I'm not naive, love has his other side to it as well, it is a complicated and very controversial feeling, and this song explains it in a raw and yet beautiful way. Sang originally by Abbey Lincoln, this song gets a deserving tribute in the beautiful voice of Riley. This is one that the lovers of Jazz should, if they find worthy of their time, take notice, even to note if I'm wrong, or not.
And if you don't have Spotify, don't worry at all, I have the Youtube link to it right here, and I'll include the superb presentation of the song by Abbey as well!
And this is it for this post, but coming next we have our album of the month! But if you're stopping here there's nothing wrong with that, on the contrary, I appreciate you immensely, and I wish you a happy December and hope your November was amazing! Thank you for sticking with me on this very long post, if you did! You're the very best! And see you in some minutes.
