In Which we Open March 2026 with Hope! A better future for Iran is at hand?

Hello, my dear reader of the present post, and my good friend! Happy month of March! And happy Tuesday! How are you, today? How have you been? As for me, I am quite okay. I slept through most of yesterday, felt sleepy after a doctor appointment with not so great news. Perhaps a reason I wanted that rest, as I did feel exhausted with the relatively bad news. It is not exactly too bad, neither unexpected, it is just weight gain above average for the months. After a good season of losing weight consistently and quite strongly, life resumes its course. I underwent the bariatric surgery and I thought that was it forever. For better or worse, that is not the case. My stomach is fortunately smaller, and it does require extra care, but mostly, apart from that, now I eat and feel no pain, snacks return to be a source of comfort and good texture. That is not exactly all for the best. The discomfort was an imposed brake, and without that, at times, I don't know exactly when to stop. Every inc...

Picture of the week! In which we go back to the time Monitors were huge!

Hello everyone!! Happy Monday to you all!! How are you today and how are things going? As usual, I wish you the best, and hope everything is going fine for you today! Today is the beginning of a new week! How awesome is that? Just after Sunday comes Monday, one day that slowly drags itself, but that it happens and we might as well really enjoy it! And so it goes! One nice day after the other, or just another day of nice November, a day, a whole universe in 24 hours... think how awesome this is... well, at least I think this is awesome, but anyway, just my thoughts... today I wanted to share a picture with you guys! One that I took back on the end of January of 2015! I was just to begin my 2nd year of High School. It is buried deep on my Instagram Feed, thank God I don't delete pictures! Here we're going to meet the ancestor of every monitor we have today! Here we have: the gigantic and heavy tube monitor!

This was the monitor that used to be part of the computer of my Grandmother. This huge piece of technology came even to replace an even bigger monitor that broke in front of my eyes, back in 2003 I guess! Wow, 2003, I am sure getting old! This piece of technology stood proud there, from 2003 to late 2014, when was finally replaced by the thin monitors that we have today, proudly at our desktops! They get leaner and leaner, powerful and more cheap as well, a true track of progress that may go slowly at times and not at the same rhythim for everyone, but that never stops! How incredible technology is and how dilligently individuals work on their way, doing their stuff. Progress cannot be dictated from above, it happens naturally, but only naturally because people are free to do so, living their lifes, with the resources they have, making their own choices, just living their lifes, with or without the help of others, living their lifes so in the end what was once an object of cunning edge is discharted like this, on the streets. It feels nostalgic today, all those big computers of the 2000's (yes, the 2000's nostalgia is already a thing, oh Gosh), with the internet relying on cables, on heavy machinery, such as huge keyboards and big mouses. The loud noise they made, their CD-ROM drivers, how you would purchase a videogame and had to CAREFULLY check on the mininum requirements of the machine so it could run properly at your computer, otherwise you were doomed, just the instalation process of it. As I write this using my notebook (already outdated), I can remember those times today with nostalgia, I can do that, but I have to keep in mind those were tough moments in comparison to what we have today. How dangerous nostalgia can be: the loveliest lies of all. And not even a need to discharge the mouse and the keyboard, they got better too! The internet cable is now part of the history books, as WiFi is today ever more predominant. I don't think the CD will ever go away either, even in the touchscreen and streaming era consolidated, an era I had the privilege to see the rise, something the young people, already born with their smartphones in their hands, will never understand. Also important to say, I don't think computers will go anywhere as well, but who am I to say anything in the end? We don't know the future, we will never know the future, how little we know about anything Which is something beautiful too...
Okay, this is it for today, my thoughts of Monday! It was quite a huge post... Sorry for that dear reader, but once I start, I unfortunately find myself unable to stop, all those thoughts in my mind... Oh, my mind... Thank you so much for being here, dear reader, you are the very best!! See you guys next time!
And about this monitor, I have something to say, from the movie Grand Budapest Hotel, this quote goes:
It was an enchanted old ruin. But I never managed to see it again.
