In Which I talk of Walls and Ghost Job Entries

Good evening, my friend, reader of this post!! Happy Thursday, almost Friday, I am happy to see you! And specially I am happy that I am writing a post, at all. These days, as it has been the case for some moments, I have immense difficulty in writing. I ought to shout in frustration, really. I cannot stand this difficulty I face. I have tried 3 times or so today, this Thursday, and several more the past day of this week of May 2026. It is depressing, I cannot find the words to describe my thoughts, and sometimes my mind is foggy, so I cannot find thoughts to fill in the words either.  It is just, I think, rhat I want to write about urban planning, for some reason, and I do not find the words. And I also fail to know where to begin, on a microscopic scale. Though I am still touched with the Jacobs spirit, and I have that project of the book at the back of my head, at times no words arrive, neither the thoughts. I want to write about architecture, since we mention that, but I also fi...

In which we keep on talking about Anno 1800!

Hello everyone and happy Sunday! Good morning and how are you? How are things going? I wish you the best and I hope all is well! How is the weather where you are? Here it is hot, hot, and a little more hot, which sucks, but at least is winding a lot which doesnt suck! I have two fans turned on next to me that reminds me of how much I love the wind! I'm flyign with them! I love wind, it inspires me to even write another story in the future maybe, still thinking about it, I'm still exhausted of my Fanfic, believe me or not! I'm doing okay overall I'd say, got to play some games this weekend which is always good, well, and I have something to share with you all today! It is another Anno 1800 post continuing where I left the last one, so let's jump into it!

Things reach another leven once we gain access to engineers, once we fullfill all the artisan wishes and we upgrade their residences. Engineers provide us with new resources such as electricity, and new wishes to fullfill as well, such as bicycles, clocks, coffee, and so on, all of those will require us to strenghen our ties with the New World even further, making things more complex, but also one step at a time and only applying what we already know. In the end engineers are not that difficult to satisfy I found, fur coats and canned meals are way more demanding to produce than coffee and light bulbs and electricity, SO, anyway, what is next? Once our engineers are happy, they can be upgraded to become investors! These are the final residents of our town and they provide us with a crazy income boost, influence points that kind of remind me of the honor points of Anno 1404 (Subject to another post), but also new needs that will require us to strenghen our ties with the New World even further (see the pattern?), they will require chocolate, cigars. Also, they allows to construct wonders such as the Great Pavillion for multiple expositions, but they require us to keep expanding in order to build it, and there is only so far our island can go, so we need to expand to other islands AND so on!
Now, there is an expansion that provide us with a whole new place to expand, it is called Cape Trelawney, BUT I believe that's a subject for another post! I promise this game is really addicting and wonderful experience, I am not sure if you're into city builders and stuff like that, but if you have an inch of interest into building something cool, this game has that to offer, only a few tutorials are needed for knowing some of the features like Electricity for example, BUT well, still is super intuitive and you learn while you play, which is something I value dearly on a videogame, and on anything really, well, anyway, that is what I have to offer for today, I plan on posting more Anno 1800 posts soon so stick around for some more, dear reader! I'll take you on an adventure with me! Well, this is it for today, thank you so much for coming to the Divagation Store! Happy Sunday! Wish you the best and you are the best!!!
