In Which the Divagation Store reaches the 900 posts Milestone! Reflection on Why...

Good morning, my friend, dear reader of this present post! How are you today, this new week? It should be the last one for February, quite soothing that it will end on a Sunday as well, given it started on a Sunday, too! As for me, I did sleep quite a bit yesterday, but I cannot complain of not being a productive day, given I finished reading the biography of Madame de Pompadour, written by Nancy Mitford. Quite a good one, and in fact, I would say is a great one! What a remarkable lady she was, the great patronesse of Rococo, though she sensed a move in France towards a more neoclassical direction, and overall set the sails on the direction of the style of the next era, the one called Louis XVI style, though in truth it was the queen Marie Antoinette who truly set the tone. I like this topic, and I love her majesty. Though the late rococo she preferred was hinted with an antique tint, it was not the more sober neoclassical of the 1790's and the Napoleonic era. She brought flowers a...

In Which we say Farewell to February! Short Month only in name

Hello everyone, and good morning, and happy Monday! A new week, and soon a new month, March! March that will bring the dawn of Spring in the north, and the dawn of Fall/Winter where I live. Classes are returning, presencially, and I'm going back to the college I used to study before, also, something I'm excited for, and I hope with reason. Anyway, one step at a time.

Speaking of one step at a time, I got the new phone I was longing for, an iPhone 11, such an upgrade! A juicy expensive powerful upgrade! My previous iPhone SE served me well for 3 years, but starting in 2021, the plans for changing devices were starting to lay its foundations in my head. That cellphone was older than this blog, even, could you imagine? Anyway, those plans were halted when I needed to change Laptops, because my old one decided to break down on me. But, at the doors of 2022, the plans for a newer iPhone were brought back, and here we are! I couldn't be happy with the iPhone I got, my only complaint for the time being is the 64gb of storage I have available, still, the new phone is a massive upgrade from the SE 1st gen. I thought I wasn't gonna need a bigger screen. Now, just a few days into it, I can't imagine myself using a smaller screen anymore. The camera is so much better, a camera that was already good on the SE. Improvements and advancements in such technology are impressive, specially because we thought the SE camera to be a great one already. It wasn't an upgrade that didn't meet criticism or was devoid of challenges, though. But, I love iPhones, and I will manage my bills, already have everything on paper,  and it willl be fine in the end, I'm sure.

So, February was a very very hectic month, by my own fault, because I wanted to switch phones, I got excited with the prospect of getting a job or internship, without realizing the commitment that would require. It's easy to make decisions when you are at vacation, but as soon as the chores return, you see that many decisions don't survive for long. My mind was working all the time in order to sell the old phone, update my resume, apply for work, and finally, when I heard of the design program in my previous college, to return there asap. A lot of paperwork, moving around, making difficult talks and insisting on my plans... it was mentally exhausting. Therefore, I hope I can rest a bit more this March.

As I said before, things are looking up, but I keep my feet on the ground. One step at a time. Nothing finishes abruptly, it is a gradual process of normalization. Such is the plans for the beginning of March.

Today is a rainy day, which is wonderful. I need to take my meds, to brush my teeth, one step at a time. I long to return home, as I am on the beach house, for the Carnival Holiday.. One step at a time, I must repeat.

Thank you ever so much, my dear reader, my friend. for hanging out with me today once again. For being here, it means so much!!! I'm so filled with joy to have you here! Thank you I say again. And I see you real soon!! Without any headache on the horizon, apart from some recurring stuff, I should keep on writing here as much as I can! Like I said, see you real soon!!!! Love ya!
