In Which Life is not SimCity: Washington Square and the Austrian Connection

Good morning, dear friend! Here I return with some more thoughts and ideas about urban planning and so on. I tend to avoid writing so much all at once, but it cannot be helped as I had this idea in mind, I would love to share! Of course, I want first to ask how are you, how are things? As for me, I am a bit fatigued, but not too bad. I pray and hope today can be productive, I want to make some effort and go deliver some documents at the school and hopefully I may find if I can have an internship or not. The weather is miserable, summer ends with a strong and unbearable moist heat, the worst kind. Hope you are havinf a better temperature time today. With that being said, would love to explore this thought I had, as follows: I think I could have mentioned before, I am reading this excellent book by the writer Jane Jacobs, Death and Life of Great American Cities, and it got me thinking that simulation games have really little to do with real life, have they? I say this as a person that lo...

In Which we have a Sock Review! My "Cat Trying to Catch the Fish" sock by the brand SockItToMe!

Good morning, reader of this post, my friend! Happy Saturday! How are you today? How have you been? I wish you the best, and hope the last week of July went smoothly! As for me, it wasn't productive, not really, and I had to save pennies as well, which is okay. Apart from that, college is about to begin, and the doubts are here yet again, not ideal... I have to, next week, see what I should do to get rid of as many disciplines as possible, and so on... but anyway, how is the weather? Here, the weather is rainy and fresh, the other day we had, at midday, the time usually it's hotter, 26 Celsius, which is 78,8 Fahrenheit! Where I live, that's a weather worthy of socks and sweaters! Today I had some stuff in mind to chat about, such as my "drawing stagnation", but I'd like to focus on a pair of socks I have! August 2018 - so 4 years ago, influenced by Zach, that was really into socks, he has a whole collection of those and so on, which is something that inspired my story of the adventure of Mr. D'Onofrio. I haven't paid attention to socks much before, but he really inspired me to start valuing them! So I built a small collection for myself, that I even posted some pictures before - I decided to purchase some american socks by the company SockItToMe. I went on their website and browsed for the models and got these ones!
This is a picture of the socks, lovely mint ocean blue! It was taken this Wednesday, I believe!
How would I rate them, four years later? Well, I think their colors survived well the time, they are very much intact, still comfortable! And speaking of comfortable, I guess next time, when I can, I'll get shorter ones, because long ones are a bit of a challenge to wear sometimes, like, they really only suit me on winter, much, even if I end up using it on every ocasion I can! They are overall comfortable, even if they're too long and I have hairy legs mand feet, unfortunately, so it hurts sometimes, specially when I have them for a long time. My point is, everything has its problems, but those socks are comfortable, durable and their quality (at least the ones I have) have prove to be a good one! I'd give them a 4,5 out of 5! I think that's a reasonable approach to them. I don't recommend things lightly, but socks from this brand I would recommend. Now, if you live abroad, may be difficult to get them, because in Brazil there is the dollar/Real conversion, the aduana costs as well, that are high, please consider all the logistics and the costs. But well, I did something crazy for my 20th birthday and I don't regret it!
And before I forget, here's the link for their website!
I think this is a good point to wrap it up! Thank you Zach for encouraging me to do this, and may I have more opportunities to write about socks and other pieces of clothing! Cheers! Hope your weekend may be great, again, I wish you the best! And I see you real real soon, for the wrap up of July!
