In Which I am tired of Psychological Games

Good afternoon, my friend, how happy I am to see you and to finally write here on the blog, after some days where I was tired and quite drained. How are you? As for me, it has been okay, I trust, exhausting for the reasons I will talk soon, but okay. Grandma has made 82 years of age! And I was at her birthday luncheon yesterday and it was great! My aunt caused me a scare when she fell at the stairs of the gateway, but fortunately it was just a small hiccup. Not a hiccup is the main topic of today's blog post, we should dive in right away! Really, it seems like another round of exhausting events, these first weeks of January. The devil Maduro was captured by an astonishing operation by President Trump, that is probably the best moment of 2026. The venezuelan drama is not over, the leadership of the country is still very much communist, but their main executioner was taken out. The scale of this moment, however important, pales in comparison to Iran, though.  After decades of having ...

In Which we have Socks and Belo Horizonte

Good morning! Happy Tuesday, wish you the best, my friend, dear reader of this post! How are you today? How are things going? I am okay, I'd say, the wintery weather keeps going, which makes me very happy, I love rain, fresh wind, and cloudy skies. I am trying to be more active on the creative side, I got new online art courses, and I'm trying to actually follow them lol even if I suck at doing that. Even if I don't, I can't apply what I see to my daily life, to my daily drawings. Speaking of drawings, I have some to finish, two, to be precise, and I want to draw some buildings, eventually, even if I don't have any proper rulers where I am, at my grandma's house. I am here, paying her a visit for the week, because I'm totally broke and affording a ride to my home to her home for lunch, and back, is harder, at least for now at this moment, so to save some pennies, I'm staying here for some days at least. It's not bad, but I miss my desk, I miss my second screen, miss my bedroom in general... but like I said, I like it here as well, it's a nice place, and grandma always treats me well and cares for me (sometimes care too much), I never really put affinity into question when visiting grandparents or staying at home with mom because I love them all, so the commodity takes the front seat. Today, in this post, I'd like to share yet again another Best of Instagram picture, and to say at least some people share my loathe towards their new design and new agenda of going the TikTok way. I mean, to say things were amazing before is just not telling the truth, Instagram had my loathe at least since 2020, when their leftist bias became ever more present, even before I had a lot of reservations, but I'd say 2020 as the turning year. Since then, it only got worse and worse, in every possible way. Anyway, here's a Insta pic from my 2017's trip to Belo Horizonte. I since then forgot what this building is, but I think it's a lovely one! Belo Horizonte has some nice revival buildings to admire, I think I have some more pictures to share of them.

That trip was nice, even if the "art" complex I visit was a dumpsterfire, a place that should not exist in the first place, but anyway. I have another subject I'd like to mention today as well! My online friend Zach, the one that inspired my story that I posted on 2021's blog birthday, he's being sponsored by a sock company now, SockItToMe, if I'm not mistaken! He asked for help on the sharing of his and the company's work on socks, to which I couldn't say no, because I'm very fond of Zach and I love funky socks, as you guys know, so in the future, maybe, I'll talk a bit further on socks, and even share the divagation store with Zach, so he can also talk on socks! I hope things go well.

I think it's time to start wrapping the post up, it's getting big, I don't like when it starts getting too big, as you know. I may return before the end of the month, but if I don't, you can count on a post around the 31st, to wrap July in! Either way, I'll see you again real soon, always happy to receive you here, on the divagation store!
