In Which I am tired of Psychological Games

Good afternoon, my friend, how happy I am to see you and to finally write here on the blog, after some days where I was tired and quite drained. How are you? As for me, it has been okay, I trust, exhausting for the reasons I will talk soon, but okay. Grandma has made 82 years of age! And I was at her birthday luncheon yesterday and it was great! My aunt caused me a scare when she fell at the stairs of the gateway, but fortunately it was just a small hiccup. Not a hiccup is the main topic of today's blog post, we should dive in right away! Really, it seems like another round of exhausting events, these first weeks of January. The devil Maduro was captured by an astonishing operation by President Trump, that is probably the best moment of 2026. The venezuelan drama is not over, the leadership of the country is still very much communist, but their main executioner was taken out. The scale of this moment, however important, pales in comparison to Iran, though.  After decades of having ...

In Which we say Hello to July of 2022!

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday and 2nd of July, with independence day around the corner for our american friends! How are you? How are things and how is the weather? I can see there is a lot of heat in the North, meanwhile where I live, lots of rain and cold winds, the way I like it! And speaking of things I like, I'd love to begin this post with a best of Instagram moment, we shall jump to it!

This picture was taken back in 2014, with my old phone that did not have a bad camera, but it wasn't to last much. Very fond of how it turned out! This statue is not in such good state anymore, being kinda darker grey with some moss, way more than it looks in the picture. It is a statue that appears on my Instagram from time to time, so it goes... And speaking of Instagram...

Never thought how Instagram would left such a hole in my life. I like taking and sharing pictures, so their new update, that got me outraged, with reason, was a heavy blow, and I don't think only on me, but also on many other casual photographers. Haven't really find any alternative place to share my things... and as I use Instagram way less, I also use Twitter much less as well... I hope this open up new opportunities for me, but also, I miss taking pictures with more enthusiasm, I miss that urge to share things, that comes so naturally for me.

I finished the book on Beauty by Sir Roger Scruton, the ending was grim, and I don't like the idea of "kitsch" being a thing. I mean... I don't know, I really see his points very well, and I myself get bored many moments by some cheesy gifs on discord, the annoying figures on Whatsapp, my aunt send a lot of those. That being said, even if I agree with some of the diagnosis, I am not sure about the cure, about the sacrifice that he deems necessary for beauty to emerge. No, I will not really embrace such a thing? You want to sacrifice? Go do it yourself, and leave me alone, harmless and very mucn alive, thank you so much. Don't shame me either, even though... I kinda got a bit of my own "no shame me" medicine some days ago, by a friend speaking somehow in defense of the sweaty gamer, so to speak, which... yes, I didn't like it. My impulse is to say I have a point too, and I'm correct, I need to be an advocate of me. But other people will do the same and well... if they are as passionate as me, that's not gonna end up well. So, we retreat a bit on our position for the sake of pacific cohesistence, and so on... I do believe in the words of the superb Prime Minister Thatcher though, in which she says "there is no such thing as society, there are only men and women and there are families..." which is her take against the collective idea of "societal burden to bare" and so on. Individualism is something I fully endorse, though I can contradict myself from time to time, I do try to keep individualism as one of the moral compass. I'm really talking some philosophy here and there, as Ayn Rand puts it, you cannot escape from Philosophy, I believe that is a take I'll have to endorse, too.

This is the mood my July will begin with: disagreements with Roger Scruton in some points, missing sharing stuff on Instagram, but... more like missing Instagram as it was. I finished some drawings, so that is lovely, and I plan on finishing some more, and starting some more as well, one step at a time, I wanna play games and have a good time, pay the bills but also spend some more... the plans are abundant. Hope this seccond semester God my lord may provide me with the strenght to keep going, to find what I like to do as a job, and to expand on that. So far, I think I'll continue on the Design course, or so are the plans. Cannot believe my birthday is coming in a month and some days! That is pretty awesome, as I love birthdays, specially my birthday!
