In Which we Open March 2026 with Hope! A better future for Iran is at hand?

Hello, my dear reader of the present post, and my good friend! Happy month of March! And happy Tuesday! How are you, today? How have you been? As for me, I am quite okay. I slept through most of yesterday, felt sleepy after a doctor appointment with not so great news. Perhaps a reason I wanted that rest, as I did feel exhausted with the relatively bad news. It is not exactly too bad, neither unexpected, it is just weight gain above average for the months. After a good season of losing weight consistently and quite strongly, life resumes its course. I underwent the bariatric surgery and I thought that was it forever. For better or worse, that is not the case. My stomach is fortunately smaller, and it does require extra care, but mostly, apart from that, now I eat and feel no pain, snacks return to be a source of comfort and good texture. That is not exactly all for the best. The discomfort was an imposed brake, and without that, at times, I don't know exactly when to stop. Every inc...

In Which we have Rachmaninoff and Nicholas II

A bit of a spoiler alert, I talked about this wonderful composition later on the post! Make sure to give it a listen, if you may!

Hey friend, good morning to you! Happy Friday, and I wish you the best! How are you? How are things? I hope they’ve been well, and I’m just glad to be here with no reason other than the desire to write on the blog about anything at all! I want to get used to write on the phone as well as in the computer, because it allows me to have more freedom of movement, something I value very much. Apart from writing, I’d love to draw something, though I don’t want to burn out on the day too fast, gotta go in slow steps, whenever possible. What could I draw? Maybe just a random character… maybe I could do my first building in a while, the first one for 2023. I don’t do those as often due to their complexity in details… maybe I could just do a small pagoda, but even those can be hard to do! I am also a bit sleepy at the moment, I woke up too soon, and just wanted to play Europa Universalis 4! Well, EU4 did start alright, but ended very badly, with the Ottomans declaring war on me, and being aided by the French, that’s just bad luck. Well, back to the drawing board with my Austrian campaign! I did it before and got many achievements, though, so I can’t complain at this point just doing Austria once again because it is a nation I find very enjoyable! Speaking of Europe, I had an idea, about doing a portrait to (one) of my favorite historical figures, which is Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. He was such a fascinating person with the most kind eyes I’ve seen in a human, not a single drop of malice in them. One could think it is only appearance, but having read a lot about him, I know better, he was indeed kind and a loving man, very devout to his orthodox faith and his beloved family. He was not a failure as a ruler either, my opinion based on what I’ve seen. He endured so many trials, specially in the hands of the socialists saboteurs during his all too short reign. His time was known as the Russian Silver age, a time of dramatic progress in the Russian economy and standard of living. The country was also a place for yet another cultural boom, that would come to a drastic halt in the awful events of 1917. Europe as a whole was passing through overall a gilded era, specially comparing to afterwards, with all the privations of the wars and the mediocrity of the overreaching welfare state that followed. Such is the tragic demise of an once vibrant continent. At this point I am just sharing my divagations.
I was listening to the second movement of the second piano concerto by the gifted Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. It is a magnificent piece of music, that brings me to the brink of tears, in fact once I cried hearing to it, as I was afflicted by much nostalgia, induced by the sound. I will make sure to add it to the post. Both the Spotify link to it and the Youtube one as well. I hope you may enjoy such piece of remarkable music as much as I did!
The cellphone has its advantages but also its flaws, one of them is that I can’t tell for certain how lengthy is a post. I trust this one is a goodly sized one, however, as I am prone to wrap things up right here. I am glad I caught up with the blog this second half of January! Dang, it is going by pretty fast, isn’t it? Next week, I’ll start my new business and management college semester, and this one promises to be more crowded and less chill than the first. But I am excited tor it either way. Taking classes at distance, through the internet, as writing on the phone, has its shortcomings and advantages. Well, I hope to return to the blog next week, I could write as well on this weekend but I find unlikely… either way, see you again real real REAL real soon, and wish you the best!
