In Which I think of the book project and brainstorm briefly on it!

Hello, my friend, reader of this present post! I am happy to see you once again. It is great to be here. How are you? Hopefully the week went fine? As for me, I am okay, I'd say. The birthday week, so to speak, was relatively uneventful, except for some bursts of anxiety at the evening of day 12, precisely at the day of celebration. Family time can be a challenge...  I often think if my book idea would go anywhere... I wanted to write my thoughts on urban planning and architecture, and yet I imagine any path I take, will likely be faced wirh cruel scrutiny, and the only variable will be what will the lane they will pick, if any. Firstly, I did read the great book by Mrs. Jacobs on the death and life of great American cities, and wanted to emulate it. I thought on a research, then I thought it would be better to write from my life experience instead.. perhaps I should do a life experience writing, with researches if proven necessary? The fact is I am gloomy about brazilian cities an...

In Which we say Hello to February 2023: Approaching it cautiously!

Hey there, friend, dear reader of this post! Happy Thursday, first one of February, wish you the best! How are you today? How are things going? As for me, February was off to a good start, where I got a new set of yellow lamps for my bedroom, and paid a great deal of my dues, though not all. I am thinking how to pay everything in time, no easy answers come to mind, but things could be far worse, and they were worse at some point, money wise for me. The weather in February so far is being lovely, which is not an adjective that I use for Summer much, if at all. It is because of the rain of yesterday and today morning, that brought the weather down, which I much appreciate. Auspicious beginnings, for sure! I also finished two drawings, that mildly pleased me. I have other ones on the queue, both in my mind and in the drawing station! I also read a lot, specially this morning. I decided to undertake a lenghy but so far rewarding intellectual journey, to read the biography of one of my major personal heroes, someone close to my heart, Baroness Margaret Thatcher, which was a formidable prime minister of the United Kingdom. That was my overall positive prejudice of her when I started reading, and now I am more in love with this remarkable figure than ever. She really was a force to be reckon with. On my personal very extreme strong view in favor of free markets (to use a term of the book, I am a free-Marketeer till the end), I need to emulate her courage and love for Britain. It is more than meets the eye, though, as politics is an ungrateful job, specially for the righteous, such as her, but as I devour the first volume of three, in this work by Charles Moore, I indeed fell everything she felt, and think everything she thought! I hardly met anyone as close to my convictions as the most successful prime minister, proven to be, so far, the last Hurrah for Britannia. There is much to discuss on her, even on the critic field, she for example did not go far in my goal of ending the welfare State, toppling down the NHS forever, digging a hole through the rotten tree of socialism, cutting down its roots, salting the earth around so the evils of socialism can never go forward again. As we see today, on retrospect, she could've done more, far more, to secure freedom, but this is an unfair judgment, she is not a superhero, much to my sad assumption. She is my personal hero, though, and you turn if you want, to quote her, with my adaptation due to my sex, this gentleman is NOT for turning.

Ducklings at the lagoon, such a lovely thing! Saw it on Pinterest yesterday, Pinterest is so nice, I always find a lot of good things in it.

As you saw, I approach February with good winds, concerning drawing, concerning reading, hopefully writing as well. And as for games, I hope to hear more news on the 1.2 patch for Vic3. I am playing a game on EU4 also, it has been quite successful! I also am playing some Anno 1800, sometimes I feel the uneasy urge to play the dollhouse, aka, Sims 4, but well... The field may be shaken by the release of the remaster of Pharaoh, that I am waiting as patiently as I can. It is to be released on the 15th. In more professioal terms, college should be resuming at some point in the upcoming weeks, and it should be busy... I hope I can do it. Anyway, things look up, but for the sake of not expecting only a roseyard, I am being cautious on my approach. It is something I always insist on doing for my own sake.

Well, this post was a success, and I should wrap it up here. Hopefully I will return very soon, real soon, here to the blog, to write some more! How many posts this February? I am aiming at 5, though it could be more, hopefully not less... Maybe I could dedicate a proper post towards Mrs. Thatcher... If I am particularly inspired, I will do so. Well, I shall return to the blog real real real real soon with some more words, thank you so much for reading, means the world to me, see you again next time, real soon!
