In Which the Divagation Store reaches the 900 posts Milestone! Reflection on Why...

Good morning, my friend, dear reader of this present post! How are you today, this new week? It should be the last one for February, quite soothing that it will end on a Sunday as well, given it started on a Sunday, too! As for me, I did sleep quite a bit yesterday, but I cannot complain of not being a productive day, given I finished reading the biography of Madame de Pompadour, written by Nancy Mitford. Quite a good one, and in fact, I would say is a great one! What a remarkable lady she was, the great patronesse of Rococo, though she sensed a move in France towards a more neoclassical direction, and overall set the sails on the direction of the style of the next era, the one called Louis XVI style, though in truth it was the queen Marie Antoinette who truly set the tone. I like this topic, and I love her majesty. Though the late rococo she preferred was hinted with an antique tint, it was not the more sober neoclassical of the 1790's and the Napoleonic era. She brought flowers a...

In Which I complete the Campaign of Pharaoh!

Good morning to you, friend, reader of this post, and happy Thursday! We are getting to the end of the week, how nice is that? And the next one we shall have not one, not two, but three releases on the gaming realm that concerns me! Those are the final version of the 1.2 patch for Victoria 3, much expected by us the fans and players of the game, and it will iron out all that was added with the betas already released for the gamers already trying it out! The other release will be the next entry for the Leader DLC for Civilization 6! I am actually excited for this one, as all of the three leaders added seem amazing and very much expected by me! Those are Sejong the Great of Korea, Ludwig, the Swan King, of Bavaria, and Theodora, the chosen of Byzantium. I am excited to see what are their abilities and what will they bring to Civ 6. Meanwhile, I must add they are working on the next entry for the civ franchise, a game that could be Civ 7! We shall see if it will be a worthy entry to the series, I have my doubts and my concerns, and I must say Civ 6 wasn't my favorite, but well... The third release is the least exciting of those three, but still worth mentioning: the 1200th DLC for The Sims 4, which I forgot the name because this one has so many DLCs already. Enthusiasts say it is an actually good and worth to have one. Again, I have my doubts, I'd have my concerns but the game ceased to be a major entry for me, though I still keep track of it and play from time to time (I mean, I spent hundreds of dollars in it, better as well use it). I likely will get this DLC too, though I wonder if its release will mean they will increase the price for the Sims content in Brazil, given the inflation rates and so on, we shall wait and see... They will add some very important stuff to the game with this one, though, namely a memory system, personality affinities, a life progression, relationship milestones... IF they succeed with this content, it could be a Seasons sort of Expansion (Seasons is a MUST HAVE EXPANSION of The Sims 4, a feature that is outraged by many simmers, former and still ongoing). Now, speaking of games, I should mention I finished the campaign for Pharaoh, once again, this time with its remake, A New Era! I am feeling accomplished! 55 hours of much fun, relaxation, trade and pavilion building to boost the culture ratings! True, the reviews took a downturn since I mentioned Pharaoh before, now sitting at a discouraging 62%, but my friend that likes the game and I agree that the game is solid and deserves much more than that, I still keep my grade of 87% out of a 100. The Devs are working hard to correct the bugs on the game, as there are quite a few, though not something one should fear when thinking about purchasing it. It's a remake worthy of any steam library!

Restart the campaign? Not really...
Do the side missions? I'm seriously considering doing it! Though I also have other games I'd like to play...

I am again writing the post on Google Chrome, it does offer a more direct polished experience than the Opera GX browser, and anyway, I usually just use the browser for the blog or studying, though some features of GX are much appreciated. I am seriously considering getting some batteries for the keyboard my brother has, because this one is sorta stiff... Glad I managed to write yet another post at the divagation store, it is the one of number 624 and counting! When will I be back to the writing station? Real soon! Hopefully by the weekend, next week for sure! Until then, thank you, friend, for being around! Wish you the best always!!!!!
