Good evening, my friend, dear reader of this post, and happy Wednesday! How was your day? As for me, it was mildly productive. I didn’t do everything I had in mind (studying is one of the sad things left out) but I managed to read what I wanted on the book I’m reading at the moment, so that is good! I haven been reading much, one of the chapters I was reading of the book suffered with it. I read a couple lines every once in a day. No wonder I barely got anything from it, and such an important chapter too, that talks about the privatization efforts of the government of Mrs. Thatcher. Given the scenario, once I could return to have reading in mind, I return to read said chapter again, and I am glad I did. It is one filled with optimism, such is always the trend when moving towards the true free market world we so desire. It talked also about the Big Bang event of the London Stock Exchanged, when it reformed itself from a stagnant and degrading ditchwater of a trading institution, into a Global market hub, that still is to this day. Amazing events, and yet, also filled me with frustration and sadness, because such positive trend is not so much seen today, in a world of ever growing evil socialism, corporatism, and financial crisis caused by bad ideas such as the one quoted. When the world abandoned the ideals that moved Reagan and Thatcher, the result is what we see today, which is a digital dark age. I wonder what went wrong, as things looked progressing in the 80’s and 90’s. I can say the left was never truly defeated, though, always lurking, looking for the moment to strike again, preying on the fragilities of the unwarned ones. The chapter I then read after this one, is about the visits of Mrs. Thatcher with Gorbatchev, the uneasy conversations they had based on their very different worldviews, and how, remarkably also because of it, how well of a good impression they had of each other. That is a surprise for me, I certainly wouldn’t know how to deal with Gorbatchev, I find it hard to even deal with my grandparents that are socialist, I unfortunately barely visit them due to my distaste of their ideas. I visit my widowed grandmother more often, as we share a very good deal of ideas in common. Apart from books, we had the release of 1.2 patch of Vic3, that succeeded in revitalizing the game for many, and today we’ll see the release of yet another expansion pack for The Sims 4. Yes, another one… and what’s worse, I am strongly inclined to purchased it. On my defense, it is one hell of a pack, because includes some features that are very much welcomed in an otherwise bland game, such as milestones, more advanced family dynamics, a personal chemistry system… I can say that finally I’m getting a pack for its gameplay promise, after many years of just looking at the furniture and clothes that come with it, because gameplay is irrelevant, even annoying. I really do not want to say this pack is like seasons, which is a must-have, it is too early for that, but it looks promising, oh dear, I’m gonna regret saying this… I hope not, though… we’ll see.
The anticipated pack should be out at 2PM for me. Not much to wait anymore.
Before wrapping up, I should mention I got a WiFi repeater for my bedroom, in order to make streaming more smooth with the internet, should I decide to do it. The thing is now deciding to do it, as I keep finding reasons not to, between some legitimate excuses and not so legitimate. Again, it is something we'll see. At least I won't have many internet issues no more.
And with that, I'd like to wrap up today's post of the divagation store, that I wrote in between my phone and the computer! I really hope to be back soon, at some point on next week, maybe even in the weekend, though I can't for sure confirm. It is not that writing is hard (and it is), it's just that I tend to procrastinate a lot, when I'm in the mood to produce. I will see you again real real real real real soon, and I thank you so much for being here, once again!!!
