In Which one cannot build a nice house in rocky unstable foundations

Good morning, dear reader of this post, my friend. How are you, in this first week of July? I hope your last month went well? For me, because of the college work being more demanding alongside other woes, I cannot say I particularly thrived in those two last ones, neither in May, or June. It is not fault of Winter or Fall, and I will not take people blaming the best weather of the year for the faults of some assignments and deep loneliness. I am sad that, in June, I could not do much to aknowledge Midmas, but it is not fault of this quirky little thing I have tried to make it happen with me, and again, I won't take people blaming my longing for Christmas. And if anything, there is July, we will see if I will do a postcard or something. Anyway, the weather is lovely, and even with my financial concerns, I cannot say exactly that June will end on a sad note or downward trend. Just turbulence. If anything, it was also the blog's anniversary on the 8th! That is wonderful, isn't...

In Which I have an Alert to the New Traditional Architecture and Urban Planning Movement

Good morning, my friend, reader of this post! Happy Wednesday! How are you, today? How are things How the week is passing by fast! This early morning, writing before the sun comes, I am okay. Maybe even in good spirits, though that us up for debate. I finished reading the last post of the discipline of the month for college, that is positive! With that, I am waiting to do the final examination of this one, to be released the beginning of next month, so I can wrap this one up! Apart from that, I have a question that I will expose on the next section of this blog post. It is a sketch for something bigger, so I understand. We should jump to it, and examin, before I get sidetracked again...

Is the New Traditional Architecture & Urbanism movement being hijacked by Socialists? If not, the potential for they to be captured by statist, dirigiste ideas is huge. And, why do I say that? Well, I think their low opinion on cars is a good start, their idea of focusing on small urban areas, with not few standards of building, may also be a hint. The former sponsorship of the previous Prince of Wales, now King, His Majesty Charles the Third, to this movement, is a red flag. Also they do, even genuinely, some payment of tribute to the language used by environmentalists... Ah, such is the vices of valuing "democracy" over "property rights" for example. Socialism stick like glue to whatever has not been properly alerted about its destructive ideas. I can only gather material and snippets... I wish I could do more than that, though, to alert my fellow friends about the pit they risk ending up on. Of course, heavy reliance on cars is also a bad thing, and the fully fledged socialists want to take the worst of both worlds: zoning laws and ban on cars, so people have to rely on a service of public transit either monopolized by the state, or offered to an "annointed" company. I have this in mind also, because the discourse of contemporary modernists, that are not holding on to even worse ideas, is similar to the one proposed by some new traditionalists. The same discourse on "accessibility", "walkable places", "sustainability"... at the end of the day, this all has a potential for anti-human practices. Alex Epstein in his book Fossil Future talks brilliantly on the "anti-human" frame of mind. Many fail to see that right-wing movements have the same potential for harmful practices that are anti-human than the left-wing, that we already know and abhor... there is only so much I can say effectively on a journey-style blog, but a conclusion is: be careful wirh what it is said, avoid and condemn socialist ideas as a whole, denounce the environmentalists for the evil ends and means of their practiced and thoughts. Embrace property rights. The change for a more pleasant urban surrounding is an individual journey, and every place and person will have their own approaches. Suburbs and cars are not the enemy. Zoning laws are. If the end of zone laws end suburbs and cars, so be it, though they will not go away, and Thank God for that.

So, I could write more, but one must know when to wrap their ideas up. Exposing it is one thing, doing it in a pleasant coherent way, direct and with the truth not underlined but in evidence is, however, more effective. I am just a person with so many problems, I do not expect to be taken seriously, and in fact, sometimes being a "jester" has its perks... I will leave this post here. But, do not worry, I should be back for more words and nice things real soon. Hopefully as soon as possible. In a day: until Saturday, if I really can. Therefore, I wish you the best, and see you again real soon!!! Bye for now, for today...
