In Which we return to SimCity 2013, victim of blind spots...

Good afternoon, my friend, reader of this post! Happy Tuesday, how are you? How have the first week of 2025 treated you? An auspicious start, so I hope! As for me, I am okay... at moments, because I have been trying some different things on my games and computer, I feel in the dark, walking in circles with no purporse and so I become frustrated. The hobby has also caused me to be less mentally available for drawing or writing, at least over the past few days, which is also a source for dismay. In retrospect, though, it's not all bad. I think my first drawing of 2025, the cherry tree, tradition since 2022, looked quite charming, and I trust I will do some more at some point real soon, there is no reason for any stress I'd say, even if I stress all the same. The year caused me to become surprised with its walking, because on a chain of events that started with SimCity 4, released 2003, I ended up returning to the infamous title SimCity 2013, famous for ending SimCity as a franchi...

In Which Coffee is Missed, and the Blog's 6th birthday is coming!

Good early morning, my friend, reader of this post!! Happy Thursday! This week passed by quite fast, don't you think? How has it been for you, overall? How are you, today? As for me, I am okay! I went to the doctor yesterday and it was quite well, I switched diets once again, now being allowed to eat a bigger variety of foods, much to my relief and delight. I have been playing some Age of Empires, both two and three, these days, and it has been quite alright... and how is the weather for you? Here, it has been okay as well, not that hot in comparison to summer, but not quite winter yet, even if we already have had some cooler days, or cooler by the tropical standards.

Here we also have Frederick II of Prussia playing the flute, he was passionate about music, and could play some instruments, which the one that was his particularly passion beinf the flute.

What are your plans for this day that is only beginning? As for me, I hope I can keep on playing games, such as the ones I mentioned, and some others. I pray I can be blessed with some motivation to draw... and of course, I start this day by writing here on the blog! Of course, ideally I'd be sleeping, but since I don't feel sleepy yet, here I am. My sleep schedule has been all over the place since I am not allowed to have coffee yet, still some more weeks before I can finally taste it again. It is all flipped, even, with me feeling very tired in the morning, and in the evening I am more active. I don't like this arrangement, but for now, it is what it is...

I was at the stream of my friend Charles yesterday, and I had some great convos with his chat as well, going as far as making some new friendships! It was a marvelous time! Charles had trouble in catching up on our talks, as he was focused on Age of Empires 2. I recommended two DLCs of that game to him, those are "Dawn of the Dukes" and "Lords of the West" and fortunately he was quite pleased with both! He tried the Burgundians as I also recommended, and he was delighted with the game he put out with them! I am happy to have influenced him in a very positive way on the gaming world, and it goes both ways, as Charles inspired me to return to Age of Empires, due to his enthusiasm and how fun it is to see him play the games!

These days I have been thinking about my birthday, also... but first, speaking of birthdays, my blog birthday is coming up sooner than I was anticipating! On June the 8th, this publication will be freaking 6 years old!!! Wow, I can't believe it, six years of writing my thoughts and ideas and interests and life events down, from the sad ones to the happy ones and all in between. I wish I could say more, but I should save it when it is actually the blog's birthday. Well, returning to my own birthday, I have been thinking if I'll have the opportunity to change some devices this year, being either my computer or my phone, whatever is more possible, monetary wise. Of course that would rely on mom and dad, but I have been talking on trying once again to get a job... God knows if I will ever pass the talking part and go to getting work, specially since I am still in college and studying the disciplines of the semester. Point is, so far, I haven't had the opportunity to save on money, as most of what I receive goes to pay past expenditures. You know the drill by now, of my financial woes, even if I cannot complain much, I was on more precarious situation before the Stomach surgery, since I had to afford my appetite, and now I can be satisfied with less food. Also, I have been having therapy now twice a month and not four times. It is tragic and done out of necessity, but as a silver lining, I spend less money on rides in the city. This also to count on the fact my grandma moved to the other side of the city, making my visits to her former home obsolete. Again, bittersweet, but also with the advantage of not needing to spend that much anymore.

And, well, I guess as a way to close today's post, I could say there is a silver lining for things, even if they are bad. Now, should I wrap it up for today? Is this a good enough sizing? I find it hard to measure on my phone, where I have been typing the posts these days. I think, however, that I wrote enough! When can you expect to see me again? Hopefully soon, by the weekend or next week, depending on my mood... not always I feel like writing. With all those words, I wish you the best, and see you again real soon!
